Alexandra is a Carrot-registered Postpartum Doula. She has been a certified Postpartum Doula since 2015 after completing her training through Cornerstone Doulas. Her passion for supporting new families, however, began long before that. She holds a nursing degree from her native country the Netherlands where she worked in pediatrics, which gave her a strong clinical foundation in supporting postpartum families, newborns, and infants. She is also cross-certified as a Newborn Care Specialist, allowing her to provide comprehensive care during those precious first weeks and months after birth. Over time, my passion for this sacred work deepened, and I felt the undeniable pull to expand my knowledge and commitment to birthing families by becoming a midwife. Through years of study, apprenticeship, and dedication, I graduated from the National Midwifery Institute. I am a Licensed Midwife (LM) with the Medical Board of California and Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) with the North American Registry of Midwives.
