Hello, I'm Tanesha, the heart and hands behind Angelic Birthing Doula Services! I'm a wife, mother of three, and full-spectrum doula with a deep passion for supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and the beautiful, sometimes unpredictable transition into parenthood. Outside of birthwork, life is beautifully full with my husband, our 27-year-old son, 26-year-old daughter, energetic 9-year-old son, and our 17-year-old Yorkie, Chanel, who has been part of the family long enough to have an opinion about just about everything! LOL! My connection to birthwork runs deeper than a profession. I come from a lineage of women who cared for, nurtured, and supported mothers and families, often while navigating systems that did not always honor their voices, experiences, or choices. Their strength, wisdom, and resilience have shaped how I show up in this space today. I carry that legacy with great intention, recognizing that every woman deserves to be heard, respected, informed, and supported throughout her birthing journey. As a full-spectrum doula, I provide holistic, hands-on support throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period. My approach blends evidence-informed education, advocacy, traditional wisdom, and practical comfort measures while honoring the emotional, physical, cultural, and spiritual needs of each family. Whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, considering an epidural, preparing for a VBAC, or navigating an unexpected change in your birth preferences, my role is to meet you where you are, without judgment or a one-size-fits-all approach. Beyond labor and birth, I offer postpartum care, breastfeeding guidance, placenta encapsulation, traditional Bengkung belly binding, and Closing-the-Bones Ceremonies, creating opportunities for families to feel nurtured and supported beyond their baby's arrival. I believe birth is more than a physical event. It is an experience that can shape how we see ourselves, our strength, our relationships, and the families we are becoming. My hope is that every family I support walks away feeling not only prepared for birth, but genuinely cared for throughout the journey. **At Angelic Birthing, your story matters, your voice matters, and you deserve to feel supported every step of the way.**

Tanesha was my first experience with a doula and she was better than I could have ever expected working with a doula. She made a difficult hospital birth as easy as it could have been, and I don't think I could have made it through without her. I would a thousand times recommend her to anyone looking for a doula in the Nashville area.

Emily Budine

If you need any help with your family - I'm your girl! I have over a decade of experience ranging from babysitting, full time nannying, household management, personal assisting, and pet care (dogs, cats, fish, chickens, horses, bunnies - you name it!) to errands, chores, transportation to/from activities, organization, cleaning, meal prep and more. I nannied and assisted HNW families in the Savannah GA area for 5 years during college. During this time I had a lot of early mornings and late nights caring for kiddos and pets, completing random jobs around the house and running lots of errands for my clients. After moving to Nashville 4 years ago, I continued caring for and assisting HNW families in Middle TN alongside my full time job. I was determined to grow my network of families like I did in Savannah and it worked! I've found myself doing kitchen and closet organization, caring for special needs animals and children, helping with potty training, sleep training, introduction to solids, breastfeeding and everything in between. In high school I also worked as a teacher at a Montessori-type day care and preschool in the Greater NYC area. While there I worked primarily with ages 1-2yrs and completed multiple trainings including: CPR, First Aid, Child Development, Baby Sign Language, and Behavior Management. Over the years I've worked events, birthday parties, summer camps, served in kid's ministry, led a middle school small group and served as a Young Life leader. And on top of it ALL I have the privilege of loving on my newborn nephew and helping my special needs father when I visit home & taking care of my dog, Theo, for almost a year now! I'm 27yrs old with 12 years of experience in family care & 4 years of experience in production management. I have a Bachelor's degree, safe transportation, and NEVER partake in smoking or recreational drugs of any kind. I've been described as organized, clean (maybe a little Type A), energetic, personable, and detail oriented. I can't wait to learn more about you and build a special bond with another amazing family!

Emily cared for our two children, ages 1 and 4, for four years while attending our local university, and during that time she became so much more than a babysitter — she became an important part of our family. From the very beginning, Emily demonstrated an incredible level of responsibility, patience, and attentiveness. We always felt completely confident leaving our children in her care, knowing they were safe, loved, and well cared for. Emily is capable, dependable, and incredibly thoughtful in every aspect of caregiving. She safely provided transportation for our children when needed, prepared meals, and even helped care for our pets. She handled every responsibility with maturity and attention to detail, making our busy family life run more smoothly. What truly sets Emily apart is the energy and warmth she brings into a home. She creates a fun, supportive, and safe environment while still maintaining structure and reliability. She brought so much joy to our children’s lives and gave us tremendous peace of mind as parents. Our children absolutely adore her, and the bond they formed with her is something we will always cherish. Emily’s kindness, reliability, and natural ability with children are truly exceptional. Any family would be incredibly fortunate to have her caring for their children. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts and remain a part of our family.

As first-time parents living in a new state without family or friends nearby, we knew we wanted extra support during pregnancy and birth. We had heard about the benefits of hiring a doula for labor and delivery, but what we didn't realize until we met Jorie was how much support a doula truly provides before, during, and long after birth. Around five months into my pregnancy, we interviewed three doulas to make sure we found someone who was the right fit. We instantly connected with Jorie. Her kindness, communication style, and depth of knowledge immediately put us at ease, and we hired her on the spot. After meeting for coffee, Jorie came to our home to get to know us, meet our dogs, and see us in our own environment. She provided educational resources during our visits and followed up with thoughtful emails so we could continue learning and revisit information whenever we needed it. She helped guide us through creating our birth plan, ensuring we understood all of our options so we could make informed decisions and set realistic expectations for ourselves. One of the greatest gifts Jorie gave us was helping us build our support team beyond our OB-GYN, primary care provider, and pediatrician. She encouraged us to connect with an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), a lymphatic drainage specialist, and a pelvic floor therapist before birth. Those professionals, along with Jorie, became an integral part of our care. Their expertise helped us not only navigate pregnancy but truly thrive throughout postpartum. When it came time for our hospital birth, Jorie was there every step of the way. She carefully documented details from our birth experience and, a few weeks later, met with us to walk through our birth story. That conversation was incredibly healing. She helped fill in gaps from moments we couldn't fully remember, process our experience, and find closure. Having that opportunity allowed us to move into the postpartum chapter with greater confidence and peace. What continues to amaze me is that Jorie's support didn't end there. She has stayed in touch throughout the years, checking in on us and our little boy, who is now turning two. She has become part of our family's story, and we love her dearly. If you're on the fence about hiring a doula, I encourage you to meet Jorie for a cup of coffee and learn more about what she offers. I also encourage you not to let cost be the only factor that keeps you from exploring doula support. Looking back, the guidance, education, advocacy, and care we received before, during, and after birth were some of the most valuable investments we made as new parents. Jorie's impact on our family has been immeasurable, and I cannot recommend her highly enough as both a doula and future IBCLC.
