I have been a birth/postpartum doula for almost a year. I have experiences in both the home and hospital. I also have my placenta encapsulation certification and breastfeeding peer support certification. I have assisted numerous families with breastfeeding. My friends and family calls me the breastfeeding guru. I have 2 boys and they are the reason why I am in the line of work today. I have had both hospital and home birth experiences with my two. I’ve breastfed my oldest for 2 1/2 years and I am currently breastfeeding my now 2 year old. I believe that every birthing person’s journey through pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum is very sacred and needs to be supported in every way.

Hey family 👋🏾! My name is Shaquetta, pronounced (sha-kwEE-duh). My pronouns are she, her. • A little bit about me-My husband and I relocated our family from Florida to the CSRA about two years ago. As a wife and mother of two growing young men with ADHD, I have first hand experience with advocating for, educating and supporting those I love in many different ways. • Experience-I have a strong medical background with 8 years experience as a Medical Assistant in Florida and 2+ years experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Georgia. Although I am a newly certified doula, I am not new to the psychological, emotional, social, spiritual and physical needs of an expecting, post partum and or lactating person. • My heart ♥️ -The birthing world has always held a special place in my heart. I did not have the support that I needed during or after any of my birthing experiences. Especially after living through a missed miscarriage🙏🏾. • Aspirations-My aspiration is to become a midwife. On my journey to becoming a midwife, I’ve decided that becoming a doula first, is very crucial for a strong foundation in birth work. • Are you ready?!-I am so excited to connect with you and assist you on your birthing journey! 🤞🏾My pledge is to be present, to be patient, to be compassionate, to advocate for you, to educate you, to help you in the areas you need assistance with, and to make your birthing/post partum/lactating experience a beautiful memory in the future.

Hello everyone! My passion for childbirth support stems from my own personal experiences as a mother. I understand firsthand the intense emotions and physical challenges that come with bringing new life into the world. My experience allows me to provide personalized care to each family, ensuring they feel empowered and supported throughout the entire process. As a luxury doula, I understand that my services extend far beyond traditional birthing support. I approach each family with a holistic perspective, providing not only physical support during childbirth; but also emotional and mental support throughout the pregnancy and postpartum period. As a seasoned mother, I have had the pleasure of experiencing childbirth in a variety of settings. With each birth, I had different preferences, needs, and desires for my delivery experience. After my last son was born I knew I wanted to cater to all birthing people and their partners. To be able to experience a natural positive birth as I did was a pure luxury to me. I had a vision of what more I could offer to birthing people and I can’t wait to bring my vision to life with each and every one of you! My first childbirth experience was at a hospital. As a first-time mom, I wanted the security and reassurance provided by medical professionals, and the hospital seemed like the safest choice. I appreciated the access to advanced medical technology, the availability of an epidural, and the presence of nurses and doctors to guide me through the process. Although I appreciated them if I would have known what I know now, or had the luxury of affording a doula I know my choices would have been a little different. The hospital setting did give me anxiety and being uninformed did not help with that at all. My second childbirth experience was at a birthing center. At this point, I was more confident in my ability to give birth and sought a more natural and calming environment. The staff at the birthing center provided a homier atmosphere with dimmed lights and soothing music. I felt more in control of my delivery and was able to move around freely, switch between different positions, and use a birthing tub. I was able to use the power of hypnobirthing during my second childbirth experience and it was truly life-changing. For the entire labor process, I felt absolutely no pain at all. The personalized care and attention given to me and my family were exceptional in the birthing center especially with them listening to me advocate for myself and my body. My third and last childbirth experience was at home. By this time, I had a strong desire for a true home birth experience. It went a little wobbly at first to the point where my whole birth plan was about to be in shambles and totally changed. At one point I thought I was going to literally have a c-section, but it was my mind and anxiety trying to take over my positive thoughts. My dedication to my clients is unwavering, and I am committed to helping you achieve a positive, safe, and fulfilling birth experience. With me as your luxury doula, you can rest assured that you and your family will receive exceptional care, support, and guidance every step of the way.
