I quickly realized how much I didn't know about breastfeeding and the numerous options available to me during birth. This lack of knowledge was overwhelming, and I couldn't help but think about other first-time moms who might be feeling the same way. That moment sparked a deep desire within me to do more— to guide and support other women as they transition into motherhood. Driven by this passion, I became a life coach for mothers, helping them navigate the beautiful yet challenging transition into motherhood. But as my passion for maternal support grew, I felt motivated to do even more. After much reflection, I decided to pursue a career as a doula.

¡Hola! Hello everyone, my name is Yasmin and I am a Postpartum Doula. I split my time between The Woodlands, TX, north of Houston, and Walnut Creek, CA, East of San Francisco in the Bay Area. I speak English and Spanish, we can communicate in whichever language you feel most at home with. I am passionate about the postpartum period, specifically the first 40 days, and providing care to nurture the mother back to health after giving birth. My passion is cooking and self-care. We will sit down together to plan menus to aid in replenishing you and promote healing to your body. In addition, I will fill your freezer with ready to eat meals to enjoy when I'm gone, focus on your rest to promote mental ease and relaxation, and provide an environment where you are being tended to and taken care of. My role strongly focuses on the recovery and healing of the mother. I received my Certification in Labor and Birth and Postpartum Doula in 2023 through The Midwifery Institute. I am also certified in CPR and First Aid. I have been married for 14 years and have three beautiful children, aged 18, 14, and 11. Over the past two years, I focused on my own family and did not take on any clients; however, I am now ready and looking to serve individuals and families in Waller, Magnolia, Tomball, and surrounding areas. I currently volunteer with my local pregnancy center helping to educate and support women and families that are expecting.

I have been a birth worker for 8 years and have 15 years of infant care experience as a professional nanny, postpartum doula, and educator. I am a mom of 4 crazy lovable kiddos (2015, 2017, 2021, and 2023) and I have personally experienced hospital birth and out of hospital birth. It was the care of 2 volunteer doulas during my first birth who helped drive my desire to become a birth worker. I am passionate about education as an incredible tool to build confidence and help birth outcomes. I believe everyone should have access to the highest level of education and care during their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This is driven by my belief that every person is born with inherent dignity, value, and worth and that women’s bodies are strong and beautifully made to birth their baby. When I am not teaching childbirth education or processing a placenta, I enjoy servicing at my church and all things musical theatre and fantasy. Two things that will always make me smile are dance parties with my kids and trying new restaurants with my husband.

I have spent over seven years working in postpartum care as a Certified Nursing Assistant, supporting families during one of the most important and vulnerable transitions of their lives. Now, I’m honored to continue that work as a certified postpartum doula, offering compassionate, holistic support to help parents and babies truly thrive during the postpartum period. I earned my postpartum doula certification through the International Doula Institute in May 2025 and have completed 95 hours of lactation counselor training.
