Hi, My name is Brittany. My husband and I are expecting a baby in March 2027, and we are looking for a night nanny for about 3–6 months. We are thinking probably 10 p.m.–6 a.m., 5 nights a week, M-F. Non-smoking, no vaping, etc. is a requirement. Nanny must pass a background check, credit report and have her own transportation. We also have twins and had a wonderful experience with a night nanny when they were newborns. Our family is moving from Hawaii to Iowa, so unfortunately we won’t be able to have the same nanny for this baby. The nanny would only be responsible for the newborn. I would still get up with the twins as needed during the night. We are looking for someone who has previous experience as a night nanny, especially with newborns. CPR and First Aid certification are also important to us. This would be a live-out position, so the nanny would have their own residence. We follow a Montessori lifestyle and parenting approach, so someone who is familiar with Montessori and understands the value of it would be a big plus. As far as personality, we are looking for someone who is calm, kind, patient, reliable and trustworthy. The main responsibilities would be feeding the baby, changing diapers, washing and making bottles, cleaning up any messes, and, most importantly, helping my husband and me get some sleep! If there is time, help with laundry or dishes would be nice, but the baby would always be the priority. Our budget is flexible. Finding the right person who is a good fit for our family is the most important thing to us. Thank you, Brittany and Arun

Provider Requirements • Newborn care specialist or postpartum doula certification preferred (CNS/NCS, CPR/infant safety certified); will also consider an experienced night nanny with strong references if certification isn’t held • Minimum 2–3 years overnight infant care experience, ideally including work with families who also have an older sibling in the home • Comfortable around toddlers isn’t required for hands-on care, but should be low-key/quiet enough not to wake a light-sleeping 2-year-old down the hall • No second language required — English only is fine • Non-smoker; must be comfortable in a home with a dog (friendly, well-behaved) Care Recipients • Newborn (due November 2026), no anticipated special medical needs at this time • Toddler, River, is not part of overnight care — just flagging for household context/noise level • Feeding: primarily breastfeeding/pumped milk with bottle-feeding overnight; open to formula-supplementing if needed. No known allergies yet. Additional Duties • Overnight feedings (bottle), diaper changes, soothing/settling • Basic sleep shaping/gentle sleep training support welcome, not required • Light related tasks only: rinsing bottles/pump parts used overnight, keeping a feeding/diaper log • No general house cleaning, cooking, or laundry expected Estimated Budget • $200–$260 per 8–10 hour overnight shift • Anticipate needing coverage 8–12 weeks postpartum
