What exactly does a doula do?

A doula provides emotional, physical, and educational support before, during, and after birth. I don’t perform medical tasks or replace your provider, instead, I help you feel emotionally safe, informed, and supported throughout the process. My role is to walk alongside you as an advocate, guide, and calming presence.

Can you help my partner prepare too?

Absolutely. I work with partners to help them feel confident, included, and clear on how to support you during labor and postpartum. They don’t have to be experts, they just need to feel prepared and present, and I help guide that process.
