About Jessie

Hi there! I’m Jessie! I’m glad you’re here and I’m happy to share a bit of how I got to where I am. Throughout my pregnancy and utilizing the resources my doula shared with me, I found that I had many more options and choices I could make about how I started my parenting journey based on my values and having my birth team who I trusted and honored my values as well. It was with my birth team, which included my midwife, doula, and husband, that I brought two beautiful boys earth-side in my own home. Pregnancy and birth is a healthy, natural and normal process. Expecting parents deserve to proceed with their pregnancy and birth knowing their options and not feeling judged for making decisions based on their preferences and values. I felt empowered through my own experiences and so I’ve starting out this doula journey with a desire to help pregnant women learn about their choices and feel empowered in their own journeys. So whether you are planning on having your baby at home, at the hospital, unmedicated, medicated, or are just unsure of what direction you might be going, I am just honored to be by your side and supporting you in this unforgettable period of your life.

What to expect

I offer birth doula services for families. This includes 1-2 prenatal appointments to discuss topics such as childbirth, typical procedures, postpartum care and newborn care. I am on call the 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your due date and conduct 1-2 postpartum visit after your birth. I am also a Certified Breastfeeding specialist and can provide some education and guidance within my scope to support your breastfeeding goals.
