About me

Hi, I’m Joy, a birth and postpartum doula and pediatric sleep consultant with advanced lactation training. I support families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond with a calm, practical, judgment-free approach. As a mom of four grown children and a grandmother, I bring both professional training and decades of hands-on experience with babies and families. During pregnancy and birth, I help you feel informed, prepared, and confident in your choices, while providing steady emotional and physical support throughout labor. After baby arrives, I can continue supporting you through postpartum recovery, feeding, newborn care, sleep, and adjusting to life with your new baby. My goal is simple: to help you feel supported and confident as you navigate this huge transition. When I’m not supporting families, you’ll usually find me spending time with my own family, traveling in our RV, hiking, biking, or exploring somewhere new.

Service introduction

Most families piece their support together. Birth support from one person, feeding help from another, postpartum care from someone else, and sleep advice when things get hard. I offer support that grows with your family, from preparing for birth and labor support to those first days at home, feeding, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and eventually sleep. That means a familiar, trusted person who already knows you, your baby, and what matters to your family. Practical help, evidence-based guidance, and steady support through each new stage.

After dealing with the 4-month sleep regression for over a month and a half, my husband and I decided to reach out to Joy. At the time, our son was barely sleeping overnight. He was waking every 30 minutes to an hour and refused to sleep in his crib or bassinet. After speaking with Joy, she created a detailed, personalized sleep plan specifically for our son. To our amazement, after just one night, he was sleeping through the night with only one wake up to feed. I was so nervous about sleep training because I thought it would be stressful and heartbreaking, but it was the complete opposite. The process was much easier than we expected, and the results were truly life-changing for our whole family. Joy was incredibly supportive every step of the way, always available to answer our questions and provide reassurance. I can’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re struggling with your little one’s sleep, she is absolutely worth it!

Joy was an absolute pleasure to work with, and she is a certified top-notch pro in her field. Her depth of knowledge is surpassed only by her breadth of practice, and we definitely couldn't have been happier — neither could our baby! She never cried once in Joy's care, and we learned so much from Joy, as well! Thank you so much, Joy! We miss you already!

When our first daughter was born, we were overwhelmed, exhausted, and honestly a little lost. Joy changed all of that. From her very first visit, Joy brought such great energy into our home. She was warm, knowledgeable, and somehow always knew exactly what we needed — whether that was a burping tutorial, helpful tips for getting the baby down (that we still use), and (perhaps most importantly) simply taking the baby so we could sleep during the night knowing baby was being watched by someone we trusted. She supported our whole family, not just the baby, and that made all the difference. There's really no other way to say it: when Joy leaves for the day or the night, you have a little less joy in your home.If you are expecting or newly postpartum, do not hesitate. Hire Joy.

Joy came into our lives at exactly the right time. I was newly postpartum with a newborn and a toddler, and my husband was working long hours. I was overwhelmed, and Joy brought an immediate sense of calm and support. She jumped in without hesitation, helping with laundry, organizing, and spending time with my toddler so I could rest. She always knew what was needed and handled it with care and ease. What meant the most was her emotional support. She’s an incredible listener, thoughtful, reassuring, and genuinely present. I felt a huge sense of relief every time she walked through the door. Joy truly becomes part of your family. Her warmth and love are something special, and we are so grateful she came into our lives.
