I just recently became a Healthy Birth Ambassador of Louisiana, Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, Childbirth Educator and a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. Hi! I have been a nanny and babysitter for 15+ years for children of all ages. I currently am a ICU nurse and pediatric complex care RN. I am also in school to become a nurse practitioner. I adore babies and competent with medically complex kids. I have extensive knowledge and experience with new borns and would love to help new moms on the weekends or at night. I am caring, attentive, and responsible.

I have over 20 years experience working as both a teacher, nanny and newborn care specialist. I work with the parents to determine the specific developmental needs of each child. I provide a safe, nurturing environment in which for them to learn and become individuals I am a high energy individual with abundant drive, who also takes solace in life's slower aspects; therefore, I will be able to dictate and match the desired activity and learning level required for any child. I have been trained in Child/Infant CPR and Safety, Infant/toddler sleep training, breast milk handling/ bottle feeding training, postpartum training, potty training as well as obtained my Child Development Associates(CDA, age range, Infant/Toddler/Twos/School Age.) Hi! I’m Darlene! I am a postpartum doula & lactation counselor. I started Nurturing Mothers while keeping the needs of postpartum mothers in mind. A time where mama’s need to be supported & cared for, while caring for their babies. As a mother of 5, a grandmother to 4 and serving families as a nanny, I can resonate with all a mother endures during the postpartum transition. I have such a deep love for motherhood! So much that I want to serve mama’s to help them get off to a great start without feeling overwhelmed. Whether it be lactation support, rest from being up all night, support while still in the hospital, emotional support, help with running the daily household, grocery shopping, preparing meals or in need a good night’s rest with no worries.
