I love my job! Supporting parents through labor, birth and postpartum is amazing, and rewarding, and what I feel called to do. I am a birth and postpartum doula, as well as a childbirth educator and a lactation educator. Having an understanding of your options is a big part of preventing birth trauma. Educating parents about how they can better navigate their labor and the medical system is a big part of what I do. I support folks emotionally, physically, with information/resources, and with advocacy (and photo documentation of their labor). We usually have some fun too!

Hi everyone, my name is Ruby, and I am a bilingual full spectrum doula who is passionate about supporting people and families during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and other reproductive experiences. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where families can ask questions, feel comfortable, and know they are not going through things alone. My background includes working as a CNA along with healthcare member services and patient support roles, which helped me build a strong understanding of compassionate care, communication, and advocacy. I am also BLS certified and will be starting midwifery school in Fall 2026 because I truly care about improving maternal health and supporting families in my community. Being fluent in both English and Spanish allows me to connect with families in a more personal and meaningful way. I know every family and every journey looks different. Some people want lots of education and guidance, while others may just want someone calm and supportive by their side. In addition to giving birth to 10 children myself, I have helped hundreds of families in the 30-plus years I've been doing this work.
