Angela is a graduate of The Florida State University with her bachelor's degree in Information Studies. She passed the IBLCE exam and became an IBCLC in 2011. She recertified in 2021! Angela was an avid La Leche League Leader providing support through meetings, phone support and home visits from 2007 until 2021. IBCLC is the highest credential for a health care professional providing clinical lactation care. IBCLCs are certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, Inc. (IBLCE). A little about myself! My journey in healthcare started in the ER as a patient care tech, and I became an RN in 2010. Shortly after obtaining my RN I stepped into the world of Women's Health. I have practiced in multiple arenas of Women's Health such as: mother/baby, newborn admission and nursery, labor and delivery, OB-GYN office, and lactation consultation. My journey with breastfeeding was brought on when I faced my own personal struggles with breastfeeding my first baby. I struggled with postpartum depression during that time and I did not feel that I had enough support from personal relationships nor from clinical providers. Because of this experience I became very passionate about providing support to other breastfeeding families. I never another struggling family to feel that they do not have the support and resources to reach their breastfeeding goals! I am married and we have 2 children and 3 pups!
