Jaimie Kurzinger

Hi, I’m Jaimie, a holistic birth doula, placenta encapsulation specialist, and childbirth educator serving families through Little Hands Big Heart Doula Services. I am a trained and certified doula through Elite Doula & Co, and I’m passionate about combining professional knowledge with heartfelt, faith-centered care. My calling is to walk alongside growing families with compassion, encouragement, and evidence-based support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season. I believe that birth is sacred — a God-designed experience that deserves to be approached with reverence, faith, and trust in the body’s innate wisdom. As a doula, I strive to create a calm and nurturing space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to make informed choices that align with your values. My approach blends holistic birth preparation with the emotional and spiritual support that faith-centered families often desire. Through childbirth education, I aim to replace fear with confidence by equipping parents with knowledge and practical tools. My placenta encapsulation services are an extension of that same care — supporting natural healing and balance as your body transitions into motherhood. Each family’s story is unique, and it’s a true honor to be invited into such an intimate and transformative time. Whether you’re preparing for your first birth or adding another precious little one to your family, my heart is to serve you with gentleness, faith, and wholehearted support — helping you welcome your baby into a space filled with peace, love, and grace. Proudly serving families across Colorado!

Jaimie is an amazing partner to have on your childbirth journey! It had been several years since our last child was born, so we reached out to her to help us get up to speed and educate us on what to expect. We were amazed by how much we didn’t know the first time around, and her guidance was incredibly helpful. From answering our many questions to helping us prepare ahead of time, Jaimie made sure we felt informed, confident, and ready every step of the way. She helped us think through important details in advance, which made the entire experience so much smoother. When it came time for the birth, Jaimie was an incredible source of support and encouragement throughout the entire process. I am so grateful she was part of our journey and birth experience. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and supportive doula, I can’t recommend Jaimie enough. She is truly incredible!

Having Carson as my doula had a massively positive effect on my pregnancy and delivery experiences. She provided me with educational resources and was always available to answer my questions and to calm my fears. I started my pregnancy not having the confidence to give birth unmedicated, but she continually supported me and helped me realize that I could do it. She was instrumental in helping me have a positive labor and delivery experience. I felt more in control with her there, since I knew she would make sure my wishes were being followed even when I couldn’t speak for myself. She also checked in with me after I gave birth to see if I had any questions or needed any help navigating life as a new mom. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is pregnant. Carson is a truly gifted doula.

Marissa Nelson

Hello, my name is Marissa and I'm honored to meet you. I am fascinated by the innate, primitive, and beautiful ability of our bodies to create new life. A hodgepodge of things led me to becoming a certified birth doula and yoga instructor. The two most influential being the births of my own babes. Those close to me would say I have a unique ability to calm a situation, hold a positive space, and intuitively allow things to be. These qualities made sense as a Doula. Additionally, yoga is a big part of my life (a lifestyle, I'd say...) and was immensely helpful through my pregnancies. That's why I offer a holistic approach with prenatal yoga to prepare your mind/body/spirit for an optimal birth. As an LGBTQIA+ doula, I understand that families can be built in many different ways. All that matters is that when a family is created, it happens on a foundation of love, support, trust, and safety. For birthing people, my intention is to support you tenaciously in having the most empowering, transformative, and safe birthing experience as possible. We are not meant to birth alone. As human beings bringing new human beings into the world, it is pivotal to feel affirmed and validated during our most vulnerable and authentic moments. I want you to look back on your birth experience and feel triumphant! No matter what you’ve been through in the past, or what you are envisioning currently, I am here to 100% support your goals and help them come to fruition. For those not birthing and creating a family in a different way, my intention is to support you through all aspects of your unique experience; Planning, transitioning, bringing baby home, etc. I can offer resources and referrals for all of your family's needs. More importantly I can provide Empathy, Compassion, and Presence.

We hired Marissa to be our birth doula and we couldn't be happier with that choice. She visited us couple of times before the due date and she was with us throughout labor and delivery and also saw us a couple of times after the birth of our son. Having her with us in the delivery room was very helpful as she coached me through the contractions consistently. She also supported and cheered us on during difficult times and helped us make the right choices for our labor and delivery. She is really sweet and we connected with her instantly since day 1. We highly recommend her.

Ellen has a deep appreciation for the practice of yoga. She teaches Prenatal, Postnatal and Baby-and-Me yoga classes at Peaceful Birth Company and absolutely loves it! Ellen enjoys helping clients connect more deeply with their intuition by exploring meditation and breathwork. In her birthwork and yoga classes, she strives to center trauma-informed care. Ellen is committed to providing unbiased support for her clients and empowering them in their own decisions for their births. She is beyond grateful to be a part of this work. Ellen can often be found playing soccer, hiking or crocheting. She’s worked as a wildland firefighter and lifeguard, and is happiest when she’s outside or in water. She loves to sit somewhere cozy with a cup of coffee and a good book and she takes so much pleasure in decorating spaces, making them feel inviting and homey.

Having Ellen by our side throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum was such a gift. The time we spent preparing for birth with Ellen was incredibly helpful and supportive, leaving us feeling more grounded, informed, and empowered. During the birth itself, her calm, compassionate presence and unwavering advocacy allowed us to feel deeply cared for and supported, while also allowing my partner to be more present in the experience. It is an experience I will forever hold with so much reverence and gratitude. Ellen continued to be such a gift in the postpartum period, offering care and support during a tender and transformative time. We are so grateful for Ellen and the role she played in welcoming our son into the world and supporting our family as we began this new transformative life chapter.

Kendall was an absolute god-send during our pregnancy and birth journey. As first time parents, we felt SO lost starting our pregnancy journey. The lack of dedicated support in the system was so apparent right away, and we began our search to find the compassion , emotional support and care we needed , esp for me as a first time mom! Our first discussion with Kendall made us feel so comfortable and like there was such a personal connection , Kendall was so knowledgeable and so committed to ensuring that I would have the support I needed thru every step of my pregnancy and post-partum. She was someone that I immediately knew I could trust and be comfortable around and want her there with me every step of the way, including during my delivery. Kendall provided support and assistance throughout my pregnancy beyond what I could have ever imagined. As someone who had an extremely difficult pregnancy with several hospitalizations, Kendall was there for our family every step of the way, helping us find new care when things with our existing provider weren’t going well, being by our side with several hospital stays and going out on a limb to be a vocal advocate for what was always best for me and our baby. Kendall went above and beyond after so many unexpected turns in our birth story, spent dedicated time visiting our baby in the NiCU at a moments notice when we delivered prematurely in an emergency situation, and was constantly there as a sounding board, resource , and 24-7 support system for our entire family. We have never felt so comfortable being open and honest with someone as we were with Kendall!! She is so passionate about her work, her families and the moms in her care, and it shows!! Whether we had a perfect pregnancy or one filled with the challenges and scares our family faced, We can’t imagine doing it or going through the journey without Kendall. You never know what resources you may need until you need them, and Kendall was there with us every step of the way. She will forever be a part of our family and our story, and we will be forever grateful for her. -The Schafferer’s: Lindsey , Marco and Marcel (our 35 week angel babe!)

Stephanie brings it! She makes the entire pregnancy, birth & postpartum experience so special and sacred. She is a master ceremonialist and always, I mean always, has flowers and magical honey. You will be so doted upon: from your first visit together; to your mother blessing ceremony; all the birth waves; to mother roasting, belly wraps, and yummy nourishing broths; to an intuitive placental reading; to expert breastfeeding support; to the final bittersweet closing ceremony. She will make your birth space cavelike and sparkly with fairy lights, candles, affirmations, a wonderful fan, and flowers. She will guide you through the waves and challenges, keeping you grounded and cracking jokes for levity. She's also a mama so she deeply understands what her clients are going through. All I can say is Dou-la-la!
