Anyone would be lucky to have Melissa by their side throughout the perinatal journey! I don't know if I could have had such an empowering, healing VBAC experience without her. We were blown away by her expertise, compassion, and judgement-free respect for our priorities and wishes. My husband and I learned so much from her birth education and benefitted immensely from her emotional support before, during, and after labor. I was especially impressed with her intuition - even in the early stages of my induction she could sense when I was struggling and knew just what to say to me and my birth team to help me feel encouraged and heard. She's also thoughtful, resourceful, and funny; I always looked forward to talking with her. I cannot say enough nice things about Melissa. May she always have green lights, the cool side of the pillow, and all the blessings in life... She's simply wonderful! You will not regret working with her!!

As a doula my goal is to help you realize your vision for a successful birth, to hold up the light so that you can better walk the path you choose on this journey. My wide ranging experience in birth settings has taught me that every birth is unique and that when parents feel informed and supported by their care team they are able to experience birth as a joyful and peaceful experience whether all goes to plan or not. I have been DONA certified for 3 years and in that time have attended over 100 births in all birth settings and worked though a wide range of birth scenarios. I am a very hands-on doula as I love to study and understand the physiology of labor. I study Spinning babies, massage and rebozo techniques as well as breathing and hypnobirthing and bring these skills as tools to use in the process of labor. Growing up I lived in a small progressive hippy community where birth was very much seen as a part of life. The local midwife lived next door and her stories and approach to what she did raised me to see birth as a symptom of health and that birthing people should always have constant loving support during labor. I have wanted to work in birth for as long as I can remember and I believe wholeheartedly in the doula model of care. Now that my own 2 children are older I have jumped into the birth world with both feet and am passionately committed to my calling.

Bethany Dickson is the reason I had the exact birth I wanted. We worked with Bethany for the birth of our first baby, and I would absolutely work with her again. My goal was to have an unmedicated birth, but what mattered most to me was that my birth plan was respected fully — including that if I asked for an epidural or any medical intervention, Bethany would support that without question. She was 100% aligned with this approach from the very beginning and never once tried to push me toward a different path. That trust and respect meant everything. Bethany supported us well before labor even began. We met multiple times to connect and set expectations, she provided examples and a template to help me write my birth plan, and she shared resources and videos showing different positions for laboring. When I was laboring at home, she was available by phone and offered specific guidance and positions to try. Once I arrived at labor and delivery, things got intense quickly. The nurses were offering an epidural, and I started to doubt whether I could really have an unmedicated birth. One nurse even said, “No one gets a prize for having an unmedicated birth,” which honestly made me feel like they didn’t believe I could do it, and in that moment, I wasn’t sure I believed it either. Even though I was wavering, I wanted to wait until Bethany arrived to see if working with a doula could change things. Bethany’s presence changed everything. I got into the tub to labor, and Bethany arrived shortly after. From the moment she walked in, the entire energy of the room shifted. She immediately took charge in the best possible way — dimmed the lights, turned on the LED candles, gave my husband a clear role (i.e., she coached my husband to be involved rather than replacing him), and focused fully on me. Her confidence was unwavering. She knew I could do this, and that belief gave me the strength to do it. She handed me labor combs, guided my breathing (breathing with me the entire time), and helped me stay grounded in my body. My only job was to follow her lead — and I did, all the way through full dilation and pushing. I stayed unmedicated, not because I felt pressured, but because I felt supported, safe, and capable. My pushing phase was short and Bethany was right by my side the entire time, alongside my husband and medical team. The room felt calm and coordinated: Bethany worked seamlessly with my nurses and doctor, never overstepping and never being sidelined. It felt like a true team effort, and I felt fully supported by everyone in the room. After our baby was born, Bethany gently showed me how to breastfeed as my newborn crawled to my breast. She took photos without ever being asked; photos we cherish deeply today. She made sure everything was settled, said a quick goodbye and then quietly slipped out so we could have privacy during our golden hour. She arrived at exactly the right moment, did exactly what we needed without us having to ask, and then stepped away without making anything about herself. Bethany is confident, grounded, deeply caring, and genuinely joyful for the families she supports. She has an incredible ability to be fully in command while also being deeply attuned to her clients’ needs and wishes, and to recognizing when something may need to shift to support their labor goals. Beyond the birth itself, Bethany also set us up for success postpartum. Before I even had the baby, she provided an extensive list of resources (e.g., postpartum recipes; mental health referrals; lactation and breastfeeding support; pelvic floor specialists; and more). By the time I needed those resources, I didn’t have to scramble or research anything; I already had my library of tools ready to support me. Bethany is an incredible fit for anyone looking for strong, confident support from someone who honors your autonomy and works seamlessly with a medical team. I truly had the exact birth I wanted because of Bethany’s support. If you are considering working with her, know that you will be cared for with intention, confidence, respect, and love — before, during, and after birth.

Hi! I'm Lisa! I'm a Christian Doula and Childbirth Educator in SE Aurora, CO. Right now I'm offering birth support in all birth settings (as long as you have a midwife or OB), and Childbirth Education in my home or your home! My faith is the foundation for my life, and most of my clients find and choose me because I stand strong in Biblical truth and moral values. I am a mom of 5, and wife to a husband who is a systems engineer, so I have great perspective as a mother and can relate well to new dads that might be more analytical and logic-minded. Music, art, reading, and all things creative are my hobbies, and I love to spend time in nature. I have experience supporting families with every kind of birth plan, from natural home birth, to hospital epidural birth, to planned cesarean. My favorite kind of birth to support is YOURS. I truly believe that you know what's best for your body and your baby, and I'm here for it!

Lisa provided me support and guidance while I was pregnant with my first child. Working with Lisa was a huge boost to my physical, emotional, and mental well-being. As a first-time mom, I had a lot of concerns and anxiety. I appreciated being able to ask Lisa questions and hear about her experiences as a doula. It gave me an idea of what I could expect at the hospital where I was planning to deliver. She assisted me in formulating a Birth Plan. (Ultimately, we didn’t end up using this, but the process of writing it made me consider some important issues such as whether I wanted a medicated or unmedicated birth.) The biggest benefit from working with Lisa was learning how to help my body during pregnancy. I am a very go-go-go type of person and as a result, I was twisting my back in all sorts of bad ways. Lisa assisted me in doing pregnancy-safe stretches to help ease the discomfort and eventually referred me to a local, trusted chiropractor who did absolute WONDERS to relieve the pain I was experiencing. I am thankful for Lisa’s service and have fond memories of being her client.

Labor support is powerful. And it’s evidence-based. Hi! My name is Jenny, and I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula serving families throughout the Denver area. Birth can feel overwhelming, exciting, vulnerable, empowering…and sometimes all of those at once. I believe every woman deserves continuous, respectful support during one of the most transformative experiences of her life. After the births of my five daughters, I saw firsthand how deeply continuous support can shape a birth experience. Becoming a doula felt like a natural next step. Whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, epidural, unmedicated birth, or something in between, my role is to offer calm support, evidence-based information, hands-on comfort, and steady presence throughout your journey. I support your choices without judgment or pressure. Birth isn’t something to fear. It’s personal. Powerful. And deeply human. This is your body, your baby, and your birth. You already have everything you need inside you. I’m just here to help you trust it. Truly, Jenny

Hi there! My name is Kayli Worthley. I am a Certified Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Breastfeeding Counselor. I believe birth is a sacred event that goes best when mothers feel safe, seen, and heard. I see my doula role as one of an educator, nurturer, and advocate. My goal is that you feel informed and confident to make your own decisions throughout the labor and birth process. After having a beautiful homebirth with my daughter, I have first hand experience of the joys and trials of childbirth. I believe that children are a blessing from God and that childbirth can bring you closer to the Lord. In my free time you'll find me singing along to worship music while making sourdough. I love going on walks with my husband and practicing hospitality.

I’m beyond grateful for Kayli’s presence during the birth of our twin boys. Though this was my third pregnancy, Kayli renewed my sense of empowerment and knowledge about birth. She didn’t just bring experience but she brought a deep understanding of birth as part of God’s design. This encouraged me to trust my body’s ability and make choices rooted in faith. And by God’s grace, I was able to deliver our twins vaginally + unmedicated.  When doctors' demands created a sense of urgency around birth of our boys, Kayli coached me beforehand, giving me the confidence to pause, reflect and make intentional decisions.  During labor, Kayli and my husband worked in tandem for hours ensuring I was never without support. This constant teamwork and extra set of hands (!!) helped me through the toughest moments. Given the risks of twin deliveries, I was prepared for an OR birth. When we entered that bright, sterile room, fear took over. But in the brief moments between the births, Kayli ensured the doctors allowed me to hold my baby before he was taken away, offering me the strength to deliver our second just 14 minutes later. Her intuition in that moment was unforgettable.  Following births, when I faced mild hemorrhaging and my husband was with the babies in the NICU, Kayli stayed by my side during the overwhelming medical attention, she remained calm, and a steady source of comfort. What truly sets Kayli apart is her deep heart of service, empathy, and respect for mom and baby. She doesn’t just support the birth, she offers care through every step of the journey into motherhood. Her compassion shines in every interaction. If you’re seeking a doula, Kayli is the perfect choice. I’m forever grateful for her role in bringing our babies into the world and confident that she will offer the same extraordinary support to every family fortunate enough to have her by their side.

Making the investment to have supported Postpartum care, especially from an Ayurvedic perspective was not just exactly what I had wished for, but I cannot FATHOM a greater gift for the health of our newborn child. I felt like a peaceful, supported, and loved Momma through the whole process which truly allowed me to be the most present with our newborn. Emily is an actual angel on earth. I only wish that every single birthing person had this type of postpartum support. Our little one is now 5 months old and I believe WHOLE-HEARTEDLY that his gentle, calm, and happy disposition is a result of the care and safety that I felt postpartum which allowed me to be fully present with him. Emily worked diligently and silently doing all of the big and little things that afforded us as a new family the maximum amount of time together to just marinate in our little love bubble. I didn't have to think (EVER) about what I was going to eat, or if I had hydrated enough, about eating the right things etc. Not only was my belly nourished, but she helped with postpartum massage, belly wrapping, provided a listening ear, and left me with so many helpful herbs, tinctures, and magical Ayurvedic potions. I am forever grateful for my time spent with Emily who I am sure will now be a lifelong friend. Thank you Emily! Infinitely! Your gift is something undeniable. We are FOREVER grateful. Love, Avani, Andrew, Rio & Suni

Carly Neal

Hey there, I’m Carly, the heart and hands behind Sol Shine Doula Services. My path to birth work started with my own first birth experience—long, unsupported, and ending in a home birth transfer. I didn’t even know doulas existed then, but I know now how transformative the right support can be. Named after my first child’s middle name, Sol Shine was born from a deep desire to provide families with the warmth, knowledge, and care I once wished for. Now, I dedicate my work to ensuring no birthing person feels alone in their journey.

We found Carly very last minute, and I was honestly on the fence about whether or not I wanted to hire a doula. But after meeting with her, we instantly felt comfortable and knew she was the right fit. She’s kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly thoughtful in her approach. Carly took the time to ask important questions and was sensitive to both past trauma and my neurodivergence, which made me feel seen and supported right from the start. Having her available throughout the tail end of my pregnancy to answer questions was invaluable. I wish we would have found her sooner so I could have benefited from her support and guidance for more of my pregnancy. When it came time for the birth of our first child, I can’t imagine having done it without her. She helped create the calm, peaceful environment I had hoped for and supported both my husband and me as we navigated the hospital experience. During labor, she was there for my husband as much as she was for me—gently guiding him on how best to support me and offering him reassurance, too. Carly made the entire experience feel grounded, warm, and empowering. We’re so grateful we had her by our side.

I would not recommend this doula. We hired her specifically for labor support, gave several hours' notice that I was in labor, kept her updated throughout, and she still arrived after our baby was born. The primary reason we hired a doula was to have support during labor as first time parents , and we were left to deliver our baby on our own. We were extremely disappointed with the care we received and with how the situation was handled afterward.

— Teresa P., review of Jaimie Kurzinger July 2026

Thanks to Cass, our birthing experience was not only beautiful but profoundly empowering. They held space without judgment, supporting both me and my partner with gentle guidance. Cass consistently advocated for our wishes, especially during birth when we couldn’t always speak up ourselves. Forever grateful to Cass for bringing the joy, love, calm, knowledge, and even laughter into our birthing experience!
