Jill Colpitts

Over the past two decades, Jill has supported over 500 families through childbirth and the postpartum period and taught lifesaving CPR skills to over 30,000 students. She believes that having a cohesive community is important for families to thrive, and continues to collaborate and foster connections with many local practitioners to ensure comprehensive care for her clients. She teaches prenatal classes in the Vancouver area (and across the Lower Mainland for private sessions) and offers tailored consults to families prenatally, in the postpartum period, and also trains hired care-givers who care for infants. Her comprehensive Prepared Parents Package ensures that her clients are well prepared, informed, safety-conscious, and can develop community contacts throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Ongoing education is important for practitioners in all fields. Jill attends conferences across Canada and online to deepen her knowledge and skill sets. She also teaches her own courses to birth professionals around the country.

Jill was a truly remarkable birth and postpartum doula, and the best support we could have asked for through pregnancy, labour, and the early postpartum period. From the start, Jill helped us feel genuinely prepared and confident. Her prenatal support was thoughtful and tailored to our specific plans and preferences, covering everything from labour expectations to newborn care and infant CPR. It felt like a private, customized baby prep course, and because of her guidance, we didn’t feel the need to take any additional classes. During labour, Jill’s presence was exactly right. She gave us space when appropriate but was immediately there when needed. When our labour didn’t unfold as anticipated, she was a calm, steady presence who helped us think through options clearly and confidently during a stressful and unpredictable experience. Postpartum, Jill has continued to be an invaluable resource. She's supported us through the emotional and physical ups and downs of early parenthood with practical advice, reassurance, and effective techniques for settling our little guy. Jill is more expensive than some other doulas—and rightly so. Her experience, time commitment, and depth of care are exceptional. We felt we received incredible value, and it was without question the best investment we made to support ourselves through this major life transition. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Madison Cooper

I’m a caring and dependable caregiver currently in nursing school with hands-on clinical experience as a certified medical assistant. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I bring both medical knowledge and real-life parenting experience as a mother of three children. My background allows me to provide attentive, safety-focused care while remaining calm and confident in a variety of situations, including overnight support. I specialize in supporting families during the postpartum and newborn stages, offering not only newborn care but also gentle reassurance and practical help for new mothers as they recover and adjust. I’m happy to assist with light household tasks such as tidying, bottle prep, and baby laundry to help ease the load during the night shift. My goal is to create a calm, supportive environment so parents can rest knowing both mom and baby are well cared for.

I used Madison for the first 6 months after our first baby was born, and again with our second baby. We connected after meeting at a local coffee shop and seeing her with her three kids. Madison was truly a lifesaver during those long days, when sleep was a necessity for my husband and I during the night. She kept baby fed, changed, and soothed at all times, and even got both of them on a sleep schedule for us. As a new mom, I struggled slightly with knowing the ins and outs of postpartum care such as breastfeeding, pumping, and storing milk, she was there to help and offer support when needed. Every morning before she left the house was tidied up beautifully for us, and all bottle and pump parts were sterilized and put away, and my milk that was pumped the night before was bagged, dated, and stored per my preference. We could not have made it through those first few months of having a newborn without her!
