I am a Certified Postpartum Doula, trained through Childbirth International, and my personal and professional experience supporting families began over 10 years ago as a respiratory therapist focusing on neonatal and pediatric care. I currently work part-time in a Neonatal ICU, where I attend deliveries and care for premature and term infants. My educational background is in Psychology (BA) and Public Health (MPH).

Working with children and their families has been my life’s work, whether being a center-based teacher or in-home care. Hi, my name is Kimberly. I am the manager of Gentle Beginnings LLC. I started my birth doula career back in 2020. I was a new mom and realized I had a passion for doula care and I decided to jump into it! Unfortunately, the pandemic made it quite difficult to attend births in person but that didn't stop me. Over the years, I learned many new families didn't just need a support person through birth but also for all the phases that followed. Currently I'm working towards my pediatric sleep consultant certification. My business partner, Evelyn, has 30+ years of experience as a nanny and newborn care specialist, and has recently been certified as a postpartum doula as well. I first trained as a doula in 2009, after the birth of my (much) younger brother. I was inspired by my mother’s experience and wanted to help birthing people own their births and find their confidence as a new parent through the birthing process. I went on to study Maternal and Child Health graduating from Boston University with a Master in Public Health.
