I am 2 months pregnant. My first baby looking to have an at home water birth.
I want to have a Homebirth using Medicaid insurance
I want to give birth at home or in a birthing center no hospital. My budget is very tight at the moment so I would probably have to do a payment plan. I want to do everything as natural as possible.
I am looking for a midwife that delivers in the John's creek hospital and someone that also specializes in unmedicated birth
I’m 16 weeks pregnant with our first child (baby girl!). I’ve had a miscarriage (anembryonic pregnancy) last December with Northside (North Atlanta Women’s Specialists) and was extremely disappointed in how they handled it, and have been really underwhelmed by my medical management this pregnancy. No medical complications, but the doctor is 70 years old and retiring at the end of 2026–he’s been largely dismissive of questions and symptoms and I feel like I can tell how labor and delivery would go at this practice… as a physical therapist, I’d like to be able to move during labor, attempt maybe a water birth without medication, and of course avoid a lot of the pitfalls of a hospital-led birth that result in emergency C-section. As much mitigation of environmental stressors during labor is hugely important for me, so ideally I’d like to do a home birth, but since it’s our first (and my husband is a bit nervous with medical emergencies), I’d like to seek out a midwife to help us have a birth at a hospital/medical center, so we have a contingency plan that doesn’t involve an ambulance ride to a hospital. The biggest goal a have in finding a midwife is finding someone who will be a patient-centered advocate and support system through this pregnancy and delivery!

Unsure, looking for a midwife to help support and direct which needs work best for me
I like calm and privacy, am not a fan of hospitals or traditional medical care. This is my first pregnancy, about 4 1/2 weeks in, leaning towards doing a home birth. Don't know a budge yet and have not thought about birth plan.
I am 8 weeks along and hoping to have a homebirth in Hoschton, GA. This is my first pregnancy, and I would really love to find a Certified Nurse-Midwife who my insurance (Cigna) accepts. I have the Cigna Open Access Plus (OAP) plan. I am willing to drive up to an hour for office visits if the midwife could be at my home for the birth.
