Hello. I am 10 weeks pregnant. I’m an Active Duty member of the Marine Corps (TriCare). I had an open myomectomy in June 2025 where they slightly breached the uterine cavity. I am not comfortable giving birth in a hospital and would like to have a vaginal delivery. I have done my research and there seems to be a less than 1% chance of uterine rupture. I don’t know what a birth plan entails. For TriCare to cover this, I will need a Certified Nurse Midwife who is Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and has a license to practice Nurse-Midwifery in Virginia.
