Hi! I'm Katya, a labour, birth, & postpartum doula serving the Vancouver (BC) area ✨. I provide compassionate, evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally-responsive care that is supportive, educational, and non-judgmental. You can rely on me for physical and emotional support, and to be provided with any and all information to empower you and your family to make informed decisions and play active roles in your labour, birth, and postpartum experiences. I will meet you where you’re at and support/advocate for your choices. I aim to offer nourishing care and come in with an open and receptive heart; to be present with you during your birth and/or postpartum journey and hold space for these sacred moments! In 2024, I received my doula training from Cornerstone Doula Trainings and I'm in the process of becoming a Certified Doula(!). I also partner with Brood Care, Western Canada’s most trusted birth and postpartum care agency, and I'm a proud member of the Doula Services Association of BC. In addition to my training, I am also CPR/AED and Emergency Child Care First Aid certified.

My path to becoming a doula began with my own births. As a mother, I have experienced how deeply birth can shape a woman. My last birth, supported by a doula, showed me the quiet power of being held without judgment, without pressure, just steady, present support. It changed everything for me. I have attended seven births so far, each one strengthening my respect for this work and deepening my calling to walk alongside women as they welcome new life. I have completed my doula training through Douglas College, where I developed the knowledge and skills to provide thoughtful, informed, and compassionate care. I believe birth is not something to be feared, but something to be witnessed and supported through. A doula holds that space, grounded and aware, so the mother can let go. With one foot in the conscious world, we create safety, allowing her to turn inward, trust herself, and fully enter the experience. In that space, she returns to herself. She rises into her instinctive, powerful nature. This is the heart of my work. I am committed to practicing cultural safety and honoring every client’s unique background, beliefs, and lived experience. My goal is to create a space where you feel respected, heard, and fully supported, exactly as you are. I am there to hold steady, to protect the space, and to support you as you move through one of the most defining moments of your life. Through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and loss, my role is to ensure you feel seen, safe, and supported every step of the way. Hi I'm Aya (she/they)! I am a full spectrum doula providing support through fertility, birth, and postpartum. I am also trained to support abortion and loss. I have an background in somatic therapy and herbalism, and have an affinity for Asian and Mexican birth and postpartum traditions. I am mixed race of Japanese and European descent and am queer and non-binary. I love to support LGBTQIA2S+ families, and also provide accessible and affirming support for neurodivergent folks.

Hi, I’m Kristy Sawatzky, a postpartum doula based out of North Vancouver. I am here to support you through the first weeks and months of parenthood. My work is all about care, nourishment, and creating space — for you, your baby (or babies), and the rhythms of your new life together.

Hi, I’m Nicole! (she/her) I live in New Westminster with my rambunctious toddler, and my husband. We love exploring the outdoors and attending toddler playgroups together. I also love listening to podcasts and dancing in Zumba classes. I have completed both Holistic Birth Doula & Postpartum Doula training through MotherWit Doula Care, as well as the Step 2 Education Breastfeeding Essentials course. I’m so excited to also be a Prenatal Educator with Birth By Bloom/ Dancing Star Birth and teach expecting families at Pomegranate Midwives in East Vancouver. I am certified in CPR-C (trained in CPR for babies, children and adults) for your peace of mind. I have completed a mentorship from Morag Hastings of Apple Blossom Families and Dancing Star Birth. I strive to inform my clients, so you feel confident making educated, evidence-based choices to determine your value system for your birthing experience. I will honour and support those values, encouraging you to root into your instincts and trust your body throughout this physiologic process. I create space to acknowledge the transformation into parenthood and support your family so you feel grounded throughout this time of transition. I also offer postpartum support to help your family adjust during the postpartum period.
