Plain and simple: I love all things pregnancy! After working in the music industry for nearly ten years, I experienced a deep and abrupt shift in my life trajectory upon becoming pregnant. Prior to my pregnancy, I had already declared my path of Maternal & Neonatal Health in my DrPH program, but experiencing the true miracle we call life confirmed that Maternal & Neonatal Health are in fact a huge part of my purpose, even so much so that I was willing to partially cut ties with the music business to fulfill this duty. That’s why and how I’m here for you today — I truly believe I was called to do this work. I’ve always had an interest in the unknowns of pregnancy. I was born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia, and have lived my life with a star-shaped G-tube patch and midline incision scar that represent the intersectionality of pregnancy, what can go wrong and how we can fix it. And upon marrying my husband, a heart transplant recipient, I became even more enthralled by the specialty of disease prevention in infants. Many wonder why I took the DrPH path as opposed to a traditional MD degree, and the truth is that nothing I’ve ever done in my life was conventional. It is my belief that addressing Maternal & Neonatal Health issues from the standpoint of public health practice is not only effective, but is also fulfilling. As a public health practitioner, I address the risks and patterns of pregnancy complications as a population-wide problem. I’m not a medical doctor because I am not interested in treating these conditions: I am a public health doctor because I am committed to preventing them altogether.

I have been dedicated to women’s health since the beginning of my public health journey. When I began university, I started volunteering with the Women's Resource Center on campus. This allowed me to plan events and educate students about sexual health and wellness. I was later hired on as a sexual violence educator as well. I was on the pre-medicine track, but realized that my true passions were helping improve health outcomes for people. I decided to get my Master's of Public Health at Boston University. Through the program, I dedicated a lot of my time to researching maternal health outcomes, especially for women of color. I have been fortunate to be able to use my passions for reproductive justice in my research at Boston Medical Center. Much of my work focuses on family planning and health disparities in repro spaces. In my work, I have been fortunate to work with amazing birth workers, which inspired my own doula journey. Birth should be an empowering and liberating experience for families, and I strive for this in my doula work. My approach is completely client-centered so that clients can feel supported and advocated for during their process. When I'm not engaged in birth work, I enjoy cooking, reading, and playing with my fur baby, Fezzik. My ultimate goal is to become a midwife so that I can continue centering reproductive justice in my work.

Katheline was an amazing doula! Her support throughout my pregnancy, from the time I did the initial consultation to my postpartum visit, was impeccable. She was always available when needed if I had any questions or concerns. She checked in often to see how I was doing. During delivery she radiated a calm supportive energy, which helped me stay focused and relaxed during my attempted Vbac. I will definitely have Katheline as my doula in the future and recommend her to expecting moms. Her support and care is definitely a blessing to have during and post pregnancy.

I was extremely anxious during my second pregnancy after having a miscarriage during my first. I didn’t know what to do and had many questions with just about everything. Cheyenne was very patient, friendly, and professional. She answered about every question I had and provided me with great support. I was about to relax a little bit with her around. I will definitely work with her again the next time around.

Hi! I'm Kaitlyn. I am a DONA Certified Birth Doula and a Rhode Island Certified Perinatal Doula experienced in working with those choosing to have a home birth or water birth, those walking through birth anxiety, and those needing strong human rights advocacy in the hospital setting. I utilize evidence-based childbirth education to teach, Spinning Babies techniques to physically support, trauma-informed care to emotionally support, and Birth Monopoly training to encourage advocacy with my clients. I take an overall holistic and natural-minded approach to care. I work with my clients throughout their pregnancy, continuously through labor and birth, and for a few weeks postpartum in the hospital, at home, and in birth centers. I also offer supportive care during the postpartum period with physical and emotional support for mother's, newborn care, cooking, light cleaning, and more. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, and prior to becoming a Birth Doula, I spent a decade professionally teaching. My career has been spent educating and caring for children and their families, which has proven to be extremely beneficial to my birth work. It’s my desire to continue supporting and loving families as they engage in the most important moments of their lives. I birthed both of my children at home and I have a deep love and respect for home births. Through my own pregnancy and birth experiences, I found that having proper support from people you truly trust and feel safe with is absolutely essential for a satisfying birth experience. I'm eager to support you, educate you, reassure you, and help you advocate for everything you want your birth to be. It's my goal to ensure you always feel safe, heard, loved, respected, and empowered throughout your journey.

Kaitlyn has been a long time friend. We were both excited when we found out that we were both pregnant and only a day apart with our boys! This was my first pregnancy and her second. Unfortunately, we live in different states and didn’t see each other much in person. When I was 17 I lost my mom and Kaitlyn was always by my side. The same holds true, even in different states, during my pregnancy. Kaitlyn was always a text, Snapchat, or voice message away from answering any questions I would have. No question or concern was too much to ask! At 20 weeks I learned my son had a cyst in his brain that could indicate a chromosomal abnormality (at 27 weeks we found out that he would be ok after many appointments at a specialist). Kaitlyn was my first call, she kept me calm and although there were no answers she could give me that would take the worry away, it was a blessing to have someone virtually there to support me. I went into labor first and had a hospital birth, everything was beautiful for the first couple of hours and then reality hit. If only postpartum held the same excitement feeling I felt for 9 months. Kaitlyn was in labor at that time and I still felt the love and support that I had throughout my pregnancy. It wasn’t until a month or so after giving birth when she mentioned about becoming a doula and I couldn’t agree more that she would be perfect for that profession! She was doing the work of a doula, virtually, but it didn’t feel like we were 100 of miles apart. If we both were up during the night (throughout pregnancy and postpartum) we would text or Snapchat each other videos of whatever issue we were having. She had advice that I would’ve never thought of. Being that my mom passed away and this was my first pregnancy, I didn’t have that women to go to for advice, to cry to, or just to share our struggles with. Kaitlyn was that person for me, granted she is not my mom but she is someone who would give me honest advice, someone who would wipe my tears through the phone with laughter. She did all this before making it her profession. Her compassion and care make her the best choice for anyone to choose her to be their doula.

My passion for supporting, educating, and empowering women giving birth stems from my desire to combat the maternal and infant health crisis that disproportionately impacts the birth experiences and outcomes of Black women. It is my goal to help all birthing people: learn to trust in their bodies; learn to trust themselves to make informed decisions about and advocate for the birth experience they desire; and, have culturally appropriate and non-clinical emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth. I welcome you to schedule a free, 30-minute consultation to help us get to know one another, decide if we're a good fit and so that I can also answer any questions you may have. Nishante was truly amazing during my birth and after! I wanted to make sure I was heard in the delivery room as well as supported so all I had to do was focus on laboring, with my husband. Nishante truly was a rock! I am truly grateful for the support during labor. I was pushed to my limits but every time I wanted to give up, my husband and Nishante was right there telling me I can do it and encouraging me. She always was a step ahead on what I needed while I labored, where it was a drink of water, a snack, fan, counter pressure, to change positions. Anything, she was literally on the ball. If my husband and I decided to have one more, I would 1,000% book Nishante again! Thank you again for everything! Your work is truly amazing and appreciated. 💕💕

Hello, dear mama, My name is Vita Baranauskas, and I am a wife, mother to two, and grandma to two. With over twenty years in the medical field, I have always been drawn to caring for others, but becoming a doula was my true calling. Why do I do this? It is my belief that every mother should have someone by her side. My only goal is for you to experience your ideal birth, whatever that looks like for you. I learn to remain calm and adapt to life's movements through my happy place, the ocean, while my lush garden reminds me to nurture with love and patience. Care, intuition, and confidence are what I bring to you. I'm here to support you, provide compassionate, judgement-free care, and help you make the choices that feel right for you.

Vita was a warm, consistent support through out the end of my pregnancy and through my labor. She provided videos, visuals, reading materials, and demonstrations for a variety of techniques to prep for birth. She worked with me and my partner so we felt prepared for a VBAC. She answered my middle of the night texts to determine when to move to the hospital. She consistently provided cues for movement and breath to support pain management and the successful movement of my baby through the labor process. She also helped me focus on hydration and keeping my energy up. Vita provided cues for my husband to support me as well. I went from my first birth being an induction ending in an unplanned c section to a completely natural birth with the help of Vita! It was exactly what we wanted and Vita helped us feel confident advocating in the hospital. I cannot thank Vita enough for all of her support.

Isabelle was a wonderful night nanny for us with my first child. She provided invaluable advice about slowly training our daughter to sleep fully through the night and getting her down earlier. She was also an incredible resource for advice about feeding and general baby care, especially as we were dealing with challenges of lots of spitting it up. We cherished the nights she was with us - we knew our daughter was safe and well cared for, that we would get a great night of sleep (just what we needed), and for the thoughtful advice she provided.

Hi there! I'm Chelsea – a wife, stay-at-home parent of two, certified birth and postpartum doula, and babywearing educator based in Connecticut. With over two decades of experience working with children and families, my journey includes a master's degree in education and 11 years of teaching music to students from PreK through grade 12. My path to becoming a doula was inspired by the isolating and challenging nature of the postpartum months. Having navigated this journey myself, I realized the importance of support during this period. I aim to alleviate the isolation many face by offering guidance and understanding. Having been the first in my friend group to experience parenthood, I understand the complexities and uncertainties. My role is to provide a compass, steering you away from the confusing and sometimes overwhelming information available online. Join me in creating a supportive community, where I offer education, solidarity, empowerment, strength, and empathy to ease your transition into parenthood

It took me ages to figure out how to get back to this to leave my review, but I can't speak highly enough of Steph. She went so far above and beyond throughout my entire final birth journey, and kept my confidence up every step of the way. She was an integral part of making my birth the beautiful experience it was, and I will never forget all she did for our family! I was a complex case, being both a VBAC (eventually CBAC) AND T1D patient, but she took me on anyways and did such an amazing job. Thank you always, Steph! 10/10, HIGHLY recommend!

Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a Certified Perinatal Doula (CPD) and artist based in Providence, Rhode Island. I’ve been supporting birthing families since 2022, but my path to this work started long before then. Living with endometriosis shaped my understanding of how essential it is to feel seen, heard, and supported in healthcare. When I was first learning how to navigate life with endo, I needed someone who could inform, empower, and walk with me through the unknown. Now, I’m honored to be that person for others as a doula. I’m committed to inclusive, compassionate, and evidence-based support. My approach is rooted in deep listening, genuine connection, and a belief that birth can be a powerful, joyful, and transformative experience. I offer support across four pillars: physical, emotional, informational, and advocacy, so that you and your birth partner feel informed, respected, and confident throughout your journey. I also accept Rhode Island-based insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Neighborhood, United, and Medicaid. I’ll help you explore your options, prepare for the unexpected, and make choices that reflect your values. I work collaboratively with your care team to create an easeful, grounded birth environment so you can focus on birthing your baby, your way.

Emily was my doula through the pregnancy and natural birth of my daughter and I can’t say enough good things about her! Emily has a wonderful energy that makes her a joy to work with, but she is also a fierce advocate who will go to bat for you. She is the perfect combination of the consummate professional and a caring friend. She was with me every step of the way and helped me achieve a beautiful, meaningful, natural birth. And on top of it all, she is a talented photographer and she captured both my pregnancy and my daughter’s birth perfectly. I cannot recommend her enough!
