Hospital birth, great budget, hope for unmedicated
Looking into postpartum doula and night nurse care for our baby boy expected August 4, 2026. Would like something covered by our insurance which is Aetna.
I am researching for my son and his fiancée who came home from the hospital today with their baby boy and are exhausted and need support. They have United Health Care and live in Johnston RI. I am willing to help pay some of the cost.

We would appreciate help with both newborn care and light household support during recovery. **Support needed includes:** • Preparing simple, nutritious meals (including basic baby food when needed) • Cleaning up dishes and light kitchen tidying after meal prep • Newborn care: feeding support, helping with naps and sleep routines, bathing, diaper & clothes changes, and gentle massage • Light housekeeping such as vacuuming once a week We are hoping to find someone experienced, caring, and reliable who can help us during this important transition period. My spouse and I very excited to welcome our first child into the world this spring! We are both interested in postpartum doula support (our insurance will cover up to 15 hours). I am especially interested in getting some advice and support around sleeping, feeding, and having fun together.
My insurance doesn't cover doulas and I was wondering how much your full service is from not until labor and delivery . I have a lot of anxiety regarding giving birth and it's my first child and just looking for someone to talk with me prior and be there for my fiancé and I during.
