The cost of a night nanny in Providence, RI can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Providence, RI, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a Certified Perinatal Doula (CPD) and artist based in Providence, Rhode Island. I’ve been supporting birthing families since 2022, but my path to this work started long before then. Living with endometriosis shaped my understanding of how essential it is to feel seen, heard, and supported in healthcare. When I was first learning how to navigate life with endo, I needed someone who could inform, empower, and walk with me through the unknown. Now, I’m honored to be that person for others as a doula. I’m committed to inclusive, compassionate, and evidence-based support. My approach is rooted in deep listening, genuine connection, and a belief that birth can be a powerful, joyful, and transformative experience. I offer support across four pillars: physical, emotional, informational, and advocacy, so that you and your birth partner feel informed, respected, and confident throughout your journey. I also accept Rhode Island-based insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Neighborhood, United, and Medicaid. I’ll help you explore your options, prepare for the unexpected, and make choices that reflect your values. I work collaboratively with your care team to create an easeful, grounded birth environment so you can focus on birthing your baby, your way.

Emily was my doula through the pregnancy and natural birth of my daughter and I can’t say enough good things about her! Emily has a wonderful energy that makes her a joy to work with, but she is also a fierce advocate who will go to bat for you. She is the perfect combination of the consummate professional and a caring friend. She was with me every step of the way and helped me achieve a beautiful, meaningful, natural birth. And on top of it all, she is a talented photographer and she captured both my pregnancy and my daughter’s birth perfectly. I cannot recommend her enough!

Hello everyone! My name is Marissa Monteiro, and I am a trained birth doula proudly serving families throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. My passion for caring for others has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. With over seven years of experience in healthcare, my background includes working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medication Technician (CMT), and experience in surgical services, alongside training in phlebotomy and EKG. These experiences have allowed me to care for individuals from all walks of life during some of their most vulnerable moments. As the founder of Mama Rissa’s Birth Garden, I believe that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are more than medical experiences. They are deeply personal, emotional, and transformative journeys deserving of compassion, patience, education, and genuine support. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that every birthing person deserves to feel heard, respected, empowered, and actively involved in their own care. I strive to create a warm, judgment-free environment where families can ask questions, express their fears, celebrate their milestones, and navigate their experiences with confidence. As a woman of West African and Puerto Rican heritage, I also recognize the importance of culturally sensitive care, representation, and advocacy within maternal health. My goal is not to tell families how their birth experience should look, but to help them discover what feels right for them while providing continuous emotional, physical, and informational support. To me, being a doula is more than a profession. It's an opportunity to build meaningful connections, nurture families, and make sure no one feels alone during one of life's most significant transitions. At Mama Rissa’s Birth Garden, my approach is simple: nurturing families, honoring choices, and supporting every birth with heart. 🤍

This pivotal moment inspired her to undergo comprehensive training as a birth and postpartum doula. Ashley's commitment to her role is evident in her diverse training background, including certifications from CAPPA, Newborn Mothers Collective, and Birth Arts International. Ashley is currently undergoing training to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and is actively accepting clients under the guidance of her mentor. We had a great experience with Ashley! She was always available and able to help during both the prenatal and postpartum periods. Her questions were thoughtful and helped me think through our priorities, understand my anxieties, and offer great suggestions for both the birth and postpartum periods. Ashley was at my birth, which was really fast so there was not much time for anything, but she was great at helping my husband know how to be helpful during the birth and offered really good massage and lactation support. She knew my birth preferences front to back and was helpful as the go-between when necessary. She were especially good at calming me down while I was waiting to go into labor and offering tips to activate labor. She is a wealth of knowledge and a fabulous support system during such a vulnerable time.
