My role as a birth doula is to create a safe space and empower all birthing persons to have a positive birth experience. I greatly enjoy working as a team with the birthing person, partner and caregivers.

In 2014, after having my own home birth with a midwife, I knew that I wanted to help expectant families have that same empowered and supported birthing experience that I did. I am dedicated to making sure that you and your partner feel like you have the skills you need to have the most positive birth experience as possible. I love to explore and research ways to provide you with continuous support, and use evidence based information so that you can make educated decisions during your pregnancy, birth, and into postpartum. I support families all throughout the following areas: South Bay, Peninsula, San Francisco, and East Bay. I am 100% vaccinated and boosted.

My name is Reena, and I bring over 20 years of experience caring for infants and young children. I am a trained birth and postpartum doula, prenatal and postpartum yoga teacher, and have additional training in pelvic floor rehabilitation and postpartum recovery. I am also a mother and have homeschooled my son for the past seven years. I specialize in supporting families with babies ages 0-12 months. My care includes newborn and infant care, feeding support, soothing techniques, holding baby while parents rest or attend appointments, and light household tasks related to baby care. I believe the postpartum season is a profound transition, and I offer a calm, nurturing presence along with emotional support for new parents as they navigate this tender time. Hi, I’m Sofia. I’m a birth and postpartum doula trained through The Circle Family Center, a certified 500-hour yoga teacher with six years of experience specializing in pre and postnatal yoga, and a trained mindfulness childbirth educator through the Mindfulness Childbirth Class with Nancy Bardacki. My work integrates mindfulness, embodiment, and evidence-based education to support parents through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with confidence, clarity, and calm. When people feel supported and safe, their bodies are better able to move out of the fight flight freeze response and into a more grounded, responsive state. This shift allows labor to unfold more smoothly and helps parents stay present and connected throughout the process. I am a birth doula with DONA International, a Lactation Educator and Counselor through U.C. San Diego and a E-RYT 200 and RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) with the Yoga Alliance. During the perinatal period, I strive to help parents feel educated, supported and cared for through this transformational time in their lives. I combine evidence based information, yoga philosophy and trust in physiological birth to help parents feel empowered on their journey into parenthood.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and I am the middle child to two brothers. I grew up in a tight-knit family filled with mostly women so pregnancy was around me my whole life. I was always there when family members came home helping care for them and the baby in whatever I could. I started out as a pre-school teacher and a special education teacher’s assistant, both roles I enjoyed. I did my first official doula training in 2018 and immediately knew I had found my place. Learning about the birth disparities black women face and personal experience from my own birth made my drive to help women of color come alive. I have a special interest in breastfeeding as well and I hope I can help more women and people have successful breastfeeding journeys. As an aspiring midwife and I know that being a doula will help me in my journey there. I became a birthworker because I want to help other birthing women and peoples experience power in their birth and postpartum time. When I had my daughter I had some of my power taken away from me and I want to help other birthing women and people know their rights so that can never happen. I chose this path because I want to make sure they feel loved, protected, well informed, and heard. I see it as my responsibility to my community to be of service and purposeful in the care I provide.

Hi there! I am a birth, and postpartum doula and I work to create a calm and safe space for you as you journey through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I prioritize your empowered and informed decision making, always turning you back to yourself and your intuition and ensuring you have all the information you need and want. I work with a holistic, traditional and Islamic framework. I believe in bringing in your belief system as the primary anchor to guide you through this process and am able to offer this especially, however not limited, to Muslim clients. When not working you can find me taking a class, running the lake in Oakland, laying in the sun somewhere or hunting for a coffee or smoothie with friends and their littles.

I'm a queer, Black birth worker offering sliding scale doula care in the East Bay. I was born and raised in Oakland and I only take on a handful of clients at a time so that I can give you as much individualized attention as possible. I trained as a full-spectrum doula in 2021 with Sumi's Touch and have been actively supporting clients in the transformative process of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum for over a year. Before that, I worked as an infant-toddler teacher for years and I incorporate education on newborn care in my work as a doula. I believe that education and information is critical to you being able to make choices that work best for you and go into birth with confidence and grounding in your abilities and understanding of your own body and baby. The goal of every birth is to create an environment and process that is uniquely comfortable and grounding for the person giving birth and so I provide a number of prenatal sessions to prepare parents with the knowledge and tools to make their own informed decisions while also being ready to step in and advocate on behalf of the parents' needs at any point. I am particularly interested in mindful birthing and finding the methods of pain reduction that work for each person, building a birth environment that feels as familiar and homey as possible (music, lighting, calming scents, etc), and being anything and everything you may need from home to the hospital, whether that be a coach, cook, massage therapist, fierce advocate, or photographer. I also have an affinity for postpartum care that encompasses lactation support, postpartum healing, herbal remedies, baby care, or just doing your dishes so you don’t have to worry about that too.

Alaina is a holistic full-spectrum doula with four plus years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Alaina emphasizes the power of feminine energy, mindfulness, and trusting the body’s natural wisdom. She specializes in placenta encapsulation and herbalism. Outside of doula work, Alaina has a deep love for nature and finds peace in hiking, camping, and enjoying scenic views. A lifelong learner, she enjoys reading, exploring new cultures through international travel, and experimenting with new restaurants. When at home, you can find her potting and propagating plants, always cultivating a space of growth both for her plants and the families she works with.

Chelsey is professionally trained and certified as a birth + postpartum doula as well as an infant feeding specialist. As the mother of her own two children and an active member of her local Marin parenting community, Chelsey intimately knows how very different each birth and baby can be. She has a passion for the empowerment of birthing people and aims to reduces fear and instill strength in all the families that she serves. As the labor and birth process unfolds, Chelsey’s priority is in providing her clients with the unbiased, evidence-based guidance and support they need.

Originally from Liverpool, England and now living in Marin County, California, I am the mum of 6 beautiful children and a grandma to one. Each and every birth was unique, whether it was at home, a birthing centre, or in a hospital. The level of prenatal and postpartum care I received, definitely impacted my birth experience and I really feel every mum should feel safe and in control of her choices, as much as she can when she is going through one of the most unique and special moments in their life. I love supporting other parents on their journey, whether it be for advice, support or just to chat about what's to come. Feeling prepared makes for a much easier birth journey :) I trained with Doula Trainings international as a birth and postpartum doula. I have been a volunteer with the Postpartum Support Center through the Marin Diaper Bank and now as a facilitator for the ROSE program. When not supporting families you will find me looking after my granddaughter, walking my dog, hiking, or enjoying friend and family time.

My path to becoming a doula comes from both my clinical background and my lived experience caring for families. I am a registered nurse by training, and after moving to the U.S., I spent years supporting families as a nanny, building deep trust in their most intimate routines.
