About Selena

Selena is a birth, postpartum and abortion doula as well as a placenta encapsulator and childcare specialist. Selena has been supporting families in NYC since 2010, where she focused her work around postpartum support until she trained to support families through the birthing process in 2019.. Selena focuses on education, nourishment and the empowerment of advocacy with her clients. She believes every person deserves to have autonomy over their own birthing experience, this includes their birth team. Selena’s goal is for her clients to feel seen, heard, and empowered so they can have a dignified birth. Selena uses a mixture of evidence based, and holistic care to help parents transition from pregnancy to postpartum. For the future, Selena hopes to be the sister/ friend/ support person you can lean on during your transition into parenthood.

Birth & Postpartum Doula packages and pricing

Labor of love package

2-3 prenatal where we discuss the labor process, common interventions and csections. We also go over coping techniques and induction methods (including natural ways!) as well as teaching you how to advocate for yourself and make informed decisions. Once client is 37 weeks pregnant I am on call for them 24/7 and will help client through labor both virtually and in person. I am present for the birth of baby as well as the first two hours of life to ensure initial bond and breastfeeding has been established. After parents are home with baby, we will have 2 postpartum meetings where we debrief the birth, help around the house, grab a coffee and go for a walk... the possibilities are endless.
