Hello! I’m Sheryl, the proud owner and Family Coordinator of West Coast Baby Care. As a Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, Parent Peer, and nanny, I bring a wealth of expertise to every family I support. My journey has been shaped by roles as a mom, grandmother, foster parent, and caregiver to the elderly and individuals with special needs. This lifetime of diverse experiences fuels my compassion and commitment to meeting families exactly where they are, providing them with heartfelt, tailored support every step of the way.. Based in Portland, Oregon, I'm excited to support families nationwide by helping them find specialized postpartum doula and newborn care services, as well as, nanny placements that are tailored to each family's unique needs. I pride myself on thinking "outside the box" and creating a concierge level experience for each new family. I understand that agency pricing can seem daunting, but I have purposely kept my agency's fees reasonable so doula and newborn care services feel attainable for more families. West Coast Baby Care is based in Portland, Oregon but serves families both locally and nationwide. We specialize in providing exceptional support tailored to your unique needs. Whether you’re seeking daytime assistance from Postpartum Doulas and Newborn Care Specialists, overnight support from highly skilled caregivers (often referred to as night nannies or baby nurses), or live-in Newborn Care Specialist services, we’re here to help. We also offer temporary care for families traveling for the birth of their baby, nationwide travel support once your baby arrives, and ongoing assistance throughout childhood. When you're ready to move beyond doula and Newborn Care Specialist support, our personalized nanny placement services connect families with fully vetted, professional nannies for both short-term (6 months) and long-term (12 months) roles.

Are West Coast Baby Care fees expensive for placing a doula or newborn care specialist?

Not with West Coast Baby Care! Our Specialty Care Services require a small Registration Fee and then per shift booking fees* for the first year of your contract with us. *Booking fees do not include the doula/NCS' pay for services rendered.
