Hi, I’m Julie. I’m so glad you’re here! My passion for birth and motherhood started at a young age. All I ever wanted to be was a mom. After I had my fifth baby I felt sad realizing that this part of my life was over. I soon discovered that my calling to serve mamas as a birth doula however was just beginning. My hubby has been there beside me through it all as our children have been born naturally in both hospital and home settings. I use that firsthand knowledge now to serve you with not just my rigorous training and certification through Birth Arts International, but also through my own personal experience. I was introduced to essential oils in 2014, and every day since then has been a family journey to more natural patterns of health and wellness. I have seen and experienced success time after time using the oils throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and with a newborn. I feel confident in my ability to protect my family’s health no matter what is going on around us, and that’s something I enjoy paying forward to other moms and families.

I am a native of the Upstate, raised in Greenwood. I am a wife and mother of two boys, and grandmother. I graduated from Greenville Technical College in 1999 with Associate Degree. Worked in the Women’s Center at Self Regional Healthcare as a registered nurse for many years. I decided to pursue my education, in 2010 I graduated from Lander University with Bachelors in Science of Nursing and University of Cincinnati in 2012 with a Master in Science of Nursing with a focus in Midwifery. I am board certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board with an advance nursing license in South Carolina. I have participated in a variety of women’s health setting such as the home health, hospitals, and birth centers. I am also a CAPPA certified childbirth educator and have a special interest in education and anticipatory guidance during pregnancy. I am married to my best friend, Collin Francis and we just had the most perfect baby girl, Saylor Grace Francis, born at home on July 31st, 2022. Our hearts are so full! As your doula, I’m your non-medical teammate from bump to baby. I bring a DACM background, midwifery training, and deep somatic skills to offer steady, practical support—not needles. Prenatal: We clarify your birth values, map options, and rehearse pain-coping (breath, movement, vocalization). I coach your partner in acupressure, counterpressure, positioning, and other comfort measures (such as back pressure, heat/cold, and the use of a birth ball) so they feel confident and helpful. Labor & Birth: I create a calm field: rhythmic touch, position changes for progress, temperature/lighting tweaks, hydration cues, and clear communication with your team. I help you stay grounded, heard, and in choice.
