Beyond the hospital setting, I’ve served as a midwife’s assistant in a small home birth practice in Elizabeth City, NC, supporting families who desired a different birthing experience. I have also volunteered as a doula through a community doula network, offering care to birthing people in need, including teenagers, individuals struggling with substance abuse, and single parents facing financial barriers.
