My own experience with postpartum depression was the turning point that led me into this work, and once I found my way back to myself through better sleep, I became passionate about helping other exhausted, anxious moms do the same. As a sleep consultant, I take an individualized approach, looking at the whole child and the big picture rather than forcing one method on every family, and my gentle sleep training is grounded in evidence, not rigid rules. That same drive to support moms led me to become a postpartum doula too, closing the gap in postpartum education and care that I felt so deeply myself. Rooted in my Christian faith, I believe that if you are rooted before the baby comes, you can stay rooted through the hard parts of postpartum, and that belief is the heart behind everything Rooted Motherhood Co. offers.

Hello, my name is Raven! As an entrepreneur, I am familiar with the importance of being passionate about one's work. In my case, my passion for birth work stems from personal experience as a wife and mother of two beautiful souls. The miraculous and empowering births I experienced sparked within me a desire to guide and support others on their own journeys through pregnancy and childbirth. However, my path to becoming a birth doula was not without obstacles. Before conceiving my oldest, I faced some difficult pregnancy losses. To help heal and cope with these losses, I turned to writing and expressed my feelings through a love letter or poem dedicated to my future rainbow baby. This experience not only brought me solace, but also deepened my understanding and empathy for other women facing similar struggles. It was this profound sense of empathy and the desire to support and empower women that ultimately inspired me to become a birth doula. With every client I work with, I am reminded of the importance of providing emotional, physical, and informational support during such a transformative time in a woman's life.
