Hi, I’m Angelina, co-founder of Cradira and a Perinatal Support Worker/Postpartum Doula serving families across the Greater Toronto Area. I provide overnight postpartum support for expecting and new parents who need more rest, more reassurance, and fewer “are we supposed to know what we’re doing?” moments. My work includes newborn care, postpartum recovery support, feeding and sleep guidance, emotional reassurance, and practical help with the everyday reality of life after baby arrives. Because yes, the baby is a big part of postpartum. Obviously. But so are the dishes, the laundry, the night plan, the feeding setup, the relationship stress, the texts from people asking how they can help, and the fact that someone still needs to know where the clean sleepers are. Over the last 25 years, I’ve learned that families usually don’t need more pressure or perfect-parent advice. They need someone calm, experienced, and practical who can walk into the real-life version of their home and help things feel a little less chaotic. Many of the families I support are also carrying more than newborn care alone: anxiety, depression, PMADs, fertility stress, loss, neurodivergence, relationship strain, or the pressure of being the person who usually keeps everything running. I don’t diagnose or provide therapy, but I am very comfortable supporting families where these realities are part of the picture. That might mean taking over baby care so parents can sleep, supporting a feeding plan, talking through newborn sleep, helping with bottles or pump parts, giving parents a chance to rest, or helping make the household pieces a little easier to manage. Sometimes the biggest relief is not a complicated plan. It’s someone saying, “Okay. Here’s what we’re going to tackle next.” My approach is warm, inclusive, evidence-informed, and rooted in real life. I’m not here to tell families there is one right way to do this. I’m here to help them feel steadier, more supported, and less like they have to hold everything in their heads. Baby doesn’t need perfection. Your family needs steady support, realistic plans, and someone calm in the room when everything feels like a lot.

We cannot thank Angelina enough for the massive difference she made in our lives as new parents. She is a human encyclopedia for all things baby-related, guiding us through sleep routines, nursing challenges, and serving as a wonderful sounding board for our concerns. Angelina strikes the perfect balance between listening to our needs, sharing her expert opinion, and collaborating on the best solutions. We highly recommend working with her!

Anna came into my life a few weeks after my twins were born in 2021. I was a first time mom of preemie twins. One with a medical condition. She provided my family with safety, comfort and care. From folding all of our laundry to tending to the twins throughout the night so that I could get some rest. Bottle feeds, diaper changes, bedding changes, nightly snuggles. She did it all! She literally sat on the floor between their bassinets to help sleep train them. She did night shifts a few times a week for me. It gave me the support I needed to be able to get through those early days with twins. Anna, we will be forever grateful for your care and support.

Having Jennifer by my side during my pregnancy and birth was one of the best decisions I made. She provided constant encouragement, emotional support, and practical guidance that helped me feel calm and confident throughout labor. Her reassuring presence made such a difference, and she always respected my birth preferences while working alongside my healthcare team. I truly felt cared for every step of the way. I am a birth worker since 2012, I have provided a variety of services in a variety of settings around the world. I am located in Toronto, Canada, but I am available to travel for minimum one month commitments. I have worked in Macau & Hong Kong, Manila, Nairobi, Vancouver, and Guadalajara, and have a global perspective on birth physiology and traditions. I provide trauma-informed, and culturally safe care, be it education, lactation support, birth and postpartum doula services, or midwifery care. I’m available as a midwife only where a license isn’t required. My approach is very collaborative—rather than “save” you from unsafe practitioners, I prefer to work with you comprehensively in the prenatal period to be sure you have the environment you need for a peaceful and satisfying (physiologic, if possible) birth. My years and depth of experience and knowledge sets me apart from most locally-focused doulas, so I tend to work well with expats and globe-trotters like myself. My happy place is home in Ontario in the near North, at the cottage that has been a part of my family’s experience for 100+ years. I love all animals but especially dogs, and I ADORE drinking coffee and discussing big ideas.

If you want the best, hire Christy. Where to begin? We LOVED working with Christy. If you’re reading these reviews wondering if you should have her as your doula, you definitely should. Our experience with Christy was nothing short of extraordinary. After the birth, I described Christy to my husband as our angel - as it felt that she magically appeared and blended in, giving just the right level of support and guidance, without being overbearing or intrusive. Her presence felt very natural and she completely put myself and my husband at ease. Christy played a pivotal role in helping me establish breastfeeding, which really helped set us up for success with feeding, and having her there to help with this immediately after the birth was invaluable. After our daughter was born, Christy continued to check in with us, and we felt extremely well looked after. She is clearly an expert both in caring for mothers in the postpartum period, but also in caring for newborns, and her years of experience meant we felt in very capable hands. Her dedication to postpartum care is unmatched, and her deep understanding of the emotional and physical needs of both the birthing person and their partner is truly remarkable. Christy’s passion for what she does shines through in every interaction, and her knowledge in perinatal care is both comforting and empowering. I give Christy my highest recommendation – any family would be very lucky to have her as part of their parenting journey!

Couldn’t be more grateful for the support from Elizabeth & Amy! I hired them as my doula team and it was one of the best decisions I made for my pregnancy and birth experience. We had 2 prenatal visits and 1 postpartum visit, and they answered all of our questions without ever making us feel rushed. As a first-time mom who had an OB, I felt strongly pulled to hire them for extra support - and I’m so thankful I followed that instinct. Thanks to Elizabeth, I had an unmedicated birth. She believed in me when I needed it most and guided me through every contraction with so much calm and confidence. I delivered a healthy baby girl (6 lbs 9 oz), and I will always be grateful for the role she played in one of the most important days of my life. They offer 24/7 WhatsApp support - even months after birth - which made my partner and I feel supported and never alone during early parenthood. They are incredibly knowledgeable, warm, relatable, and genuinely wonderful people. Amy is also super tech-savvy, so everything felt organized and seamless from start to finish. I truly felt cared for as a new mom. I would highly, highly recommend them. The whole experience was amazing!

I’m Kait, a Toronto-based (but very mobile!), DONA International-trained doula who is ready to support you throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond! I have a strong passion for pregnancy, birth, babies, and supporting new parents, and my patience, care, and understanding nature are what set me apart. I will always listen without judgement and be here to advocate for you and your family. Think of me as your pregnancy and birth coach – whether this is your first child or your fifth, I am here to support you similarly to how a personal trainer helps you at the gym, how a wedding planner helps you achieve your dream wedding, or how a tour guide helps you plan your perfect vacation. I will be by your side as you bring your baby into the world whether at a hospital, birthing centre, or in the comfort of your own home. Once baby is born, I will continue to provide you with educational support as well as encouragement and emotional support as you become acquainted with your baby. I will support your infant feeding journey (breastfeeding or otherwise) and offer household organizational support. Aside from supporting families as they grow, I have a passion for travelling, art, and food!

Nijah Smith

Nijah Smith

Nijah is an artist and postpartum doula that was drawn to the world of birthwork due to her natural ability to nurture and connect with young children and their caregivers. Nijah began formally working with families as a STEAM educator for kids 10 years and under, and is a skilled teacher and tutor whose educational and lived experiences cultivated a compassionate and pragmatic approach to supporting families. She has a deep, personal understanding of the challenges that come with raising a child in challenging environments and an expansive background working with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds, allowing her to be mindful of a client’s cultural or social values and potential barriers in accessing care. With this, her hands-on, intuitive approach to her work can fill the gaps to create a holistic care plan that is all-encompassing but flexible to accommodate a family’s changing needs.

Nijah Smith was a great doula during my postpartum experience. What stood out the most was how naturally connected she was with my baby girl. She instantly analyzed what she needed, and responded with such calm confidence. Nijah assisted greatly with household tasks, helping me latch, and helping her settle. Because she was so attentive, observant, and proactive with the baby, I actually got to rest—and real rest. I felt safe enough to sleep because I knew my daughter was in good hands. I’m deeply grateful for her, and I would recommend her to any parent who wants someone alert ,gentle, and proactive to support their family.

Hello! Thank you for being here! My name is Kristin, I’ve been on a mission to encourage women to take back birth and own their unique stories through yoga, breath, reiki, Ayurveda healing and traditional remedies. *Please note I only companion women in births at home outside the system*

Dearest Kristin, I am writing you to thank you for the gift you have given my family, myself specifically. It was a no brainer investing in a doula for this second pregnancy, and everyone was right - we had no regrets picking you! A clear comfortable contract didn’t prepare me for the support you provided. Though we hired you for post-partum care, you were a support during my very hard pregnancy. You provided me validation, connection, spiritual healing, not to mention the massages my body so desperately needed! Deciding whether to be induced was a huge mountain for us. I was high risk and my body had enough. You helped me understand my decision with love and compassion. You were so flexible with scheduling to respond to my extended hospital stay. You supported me through the phone and I felt safe leaving the hospital to come home to your care. A day with you nourished our family physically and spiritually. We were so shattered from the trauma of the birth and extended stay in the hospital. You supported our sleep, eating, and encouraged ways for us to connect while we were transitioning to a bigger family. Cooking for us, cleaning for us, yoga with my toddler while my husband and I could regroup. Having you for a few overnights helped so much with my healing and recovery. I am so grateful for investing in my recovery and choosing you. Anna
