Hello, friends! I’m Sara-Rene, part time L&D registered nurse and birth doula. As a montrice doula, I am able to help parents labor at home for as long as possible while ensuring the safety of both mom and baby. I am clinically trained to assess baby’s heart rate, vital signs of laboring mom, and perform cervical exams as requested. I work with you and your partner to help ensure the most positive birth experience possible. It is my mission in life to help parents welcome their sweet babies while feeling empowered through labor and birth. Combining my labor nurse and doula experience, I have been a part of over 1,000 births! I have a special passion for VBAC moms as well since my first two children were born via cesarean followed by three successful, unmedicated vaginal deliveries. I help educate with both evidence based research and experience, we will review birth preferences, and I will provide both physical and emotional support during labor, birth, and postpartum.

Sara was EVERYTHING I needed. From the first visit, I knew she was a great fit for my family. She even did a 'big sister class' with my 6 year old. During our ongoing visits, she gave me strength & courage & information to make decisions. During labor, She spent hours applying pressure to my hips & talking me through every movement & contraction. She pushed me to keep going when I felt like quitting & was gentle with me when needed. I can't recommend her enough. I am so thankful she was my doula, she's worth her weight in gold and I truly believe she was made for this! Book her now, I promise you won't regret it!

I'm a Houston birth doula, childbirth educator, and birth photographer — and after 10 years and more than 130 births, I can tell you with complete certainty: this work chose me just as much as I chose it. I'm a wife, a mom, and a Fulshear local who is genuinely, deeply invested in the families I serve. The moment you reach out, you're not just a client on my calendar — you're someone I'm going to show up for, advocate for, and think about long after your baby is in your arms. I started this work because I saw too many women walk out of their births feeling like something had happened to them instead of with them. I wanted to change that. Ten years later, that's still the whole point. Birth isn't one-size-fits-all, and it's not mine to decide how yours should go. My job is to make sure you walk in informed, supported, and confident enough to trust yourself — whatever that looks like for your family. You might be planning a medicated hospital birth. A VBAC. A home birth. A birth you're terrified of and hoping someone can help you get through. I've been there for all of it, and I'll meet you exactly where you are — without an agenda, without judgment, and without flinching. You can be scared. I'm not. - 10 years of birth work - 130+ births attended across Houston, Katy, Cypress, Fulshear, and surrounding areas - Certified birth doula and childbirth educator - Hospital-experienced at Houston Methodist West, Memorial Hermann Katy, The Women's Hospital of Texas, and Methodist Willowbrook, Methodist Medical Center, Texas Children’s, and more.

We hired Alysa for the birth of our first child, and I truly cannot imagine going through the experience without her. When I got pregnant, neither my husband nor I knew the first thing about pregnancy, labor, birth plans, or caring for a newborn. After a few OB appointments, a friend asked me what my birth plan was, and I had no idea what she was talking about. Thankfully, she had worked with Alysa and referred us to her. While we liked my doctor, we quickly realized we weren’t getting much education about labor, delivery, or the options available to us. Alysa completely filled that gap. During pregnancy, she met with us for six educational sessions that prepared us for what was happening with my body, what our birth options were, and the pros and cons of each. She never pushed an agenda and was incredibly supportive of whatever birth experience we wanted, whether that meant a planned induction, an unmedicated birth, or anything in between. When labor started, Alysa came to the hospital at 3am and stayed right by my side, supporting me in every way I needed until our daughter arrived safely. One of the things I appreciated most was that her support didn’t end after birth. She also provides three postpartum visits that you can schedule however you need them, whether that’s help with the baby, getting questions answered, taking a nap, or even enjoying your first date night as new parents. My birth experience was nothing short of amazing, and I give so much credit to Alysa for helping me feel informed, empowered, and confident as a new mother. She didn’t just support me through labor, she helped prepare both of us for parenthood. Thank you, Alysa. We are forever grateful for you.

I am a specialized professional who will provide superior care and support to cater to each child individually. With my many years of experience, I am able to provide a top tier level of service for your family. I also support families as they welcome their new babies to the world. A postpartum doula/nanny is a valuable short term partner to help mom and dad rest during this huge life transition. I am dedicated to providing you with individualized service to aid in your newborns development and also providing you with essential skills and support that will help them thrive in all aspects of life.

As first time parents with demanding schedules, my wife and I knew we could use an extra set of helping hands. Lindsey was a Godsend and we honestly don’t know how we would have survived the last few months without her by our side. Not only did she give top tier care to our newborn but she was a mentor, friend and so much more. The help began before the baby even arrived with tips and suggestions as we waited to welcome our new addition. The help continued after arrival with tending to our colicky baby so we could rest and recharge our batteries to manage our busy days. She fed the baby, cared for the baby, taught us about sleep training and even helped with breast feeding concerns. As first time parents, we did all the reading and felt even with the knowledge we had learned on our own, Lindsey brought more to the table than we could have even hoped for. With so many years of experience and the delicate touch to soothe a fussy little one, she was well worth every penny. We have also already recommended her to several soon to be parents and think so highly of her, just wanted to take the time to share our amazing experience… Thank you Lindsey!

We had the pleasure of having Taylor as our Doula for our first born! Taylor was both supportive & provided essential childbirth education prior to my wife being in labor. This helped us know what to expect & what red flags to look out for. During labor, we truly do not know how we would’ve done it with out her. When labor began to intensify she stepped into action to make sure my wife was as comfortable as possible through different stretches, massages, and comforting words. Over the past few months Taylor was more than a doula, she truly felt as part of the family and felt like a critical part of our birthing team at the hospital. I couldn’t recommend her more and we plan on using her for all our future births!

I had a great experience with Dana as my doula. We didn't meet until the end of my third trimester because I decided I needed a doula at the last minute. Dana listened to all my concerns about the care I received, and even attended one of my last OB appointments. I felt that she was well informed about pregnancy and labor. I enjoyed going over my birth plan with Dana because she explained everything line by line. I went into labor prematurely at 36 weeks and Dana didn't panic. She came to the delivery room and I feel like everything moved fast. She set up music like I wanted, dimmed the lights, and helped my husband with positions. I was able to have a vaginal birth with no epidural like I wanted. This meant so much to me because the specialist I was seeing told me I would have to be induced and have a c-section. Dana made me feel supported and helped me feel calm during labor. I was able to make informed decisions about my care and not feel anxious going into labor. Even after the delivery, Dana got food for me and my husband and checked on us until we all went home. Our post-partum visit at home went well and Dana was able to get my baby to latch. I had a positive experience for my first birth, and I would recommend Dana to anyone looking for a doula.

I am a birth and postpartum doula, NICU mom, and a military wife, whose passion for this work was shaped by my own early motherhood experience. I had my first baby halfway across the country during COVID, farm from family and community. That season taught me how powerful it is to feel truly supported, and it became the foundation for the way I show up for other families. I have had the honor of supporting friends and families through both home births and hospital births, and I love walking alongside parents through the many different paths birth birth can take, with a professional foundation in Kinesiology, I understand deeply how the body functions in pregnancy and birth, and how movement and positioning support physiological labor and how to help reduce strain and injury during this transformative process. I blend evidence based education with holistic, intuitive care to offer support that is both grounded and nurturing. At the heart of my work is a simple intention. I show up for mothers the way I would want someone to show up for my daughter one day. With warmth, compassion, and a steady presence, my hope is that every family I support feels seen, held, and never alone as they step into parenthood.

Highly recommend hiring Courtney as your doula. Our doula we initially hired had an emergency so we ended up having Courtney as our backup doula and she did not disappoint! We were a little nervous having a backup doula and somebody we’ve never met but Courtney was so personable, very easy going and very much was prepared for our birth plan and things we discussed with our doula prior to going into labor. Courtney was very encouraging, supportive and really helped my husband and I during such an intense and vulnerable experience. Thank you Courtney for what you do! It’s very clear that she loves what she does and it translates into working with her clients.

It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Fontanne Bassey. She cared for my baby, Amelia, and was truly exceptional in every way. Fontanne stood out immediately for her professionalism, warmth, and deep expertise in newborn care. Fontanne specializes in working with newborns and demonstrated remarkable knowledge of baby development and activities. She thoughtfully introduced engaging, age-appropriate routines and executed them diligently and on time. She was always punctual, dependable, and communicated with me clearly and consistently throughout the day. Fontanne kept detailed track of Amelia’s naps, feedings, and general well-being, which gave me complete peace of mind as a parent.
