About me

My name is Z’Mezita Talaya and I am a wife and a mother of four children, ages from 3 to 19, and my life has been deeply shaped by motherhood in all its stages. Through my own journey of pregnancy, birth, and raising children, I’ve come to understand how transformative — and vulnerable — this season of a woman’s life can be. Professionally, I bring clinical experience as a Birth Assistant, supporting midwives in out of hospital environments during labor, birth and postpartum. This work has allowed me to hold space women and families in some of their most intimate and powerful moments, blending compassionate presence with hands-on support and practical knowledge. Sacred Maternal Doula Services was created from this calling — to honor pregnancy and birth as sacred transitions and to ensure women feel heard, supported, and empowered. My mission is to offer grounded, personalized care rooted in respect for the body, mind and spirit of the mother. My approach is intentionally designed to include your partner and whomever you plan to have present at your birth! My presence is tailored to your needs and desires. Prenatal Support: I provide personalized guidance, ensuring a nurturing environment for expectant mothers through education and connection. Visits will be tailored to your schedule and personal needs. Labor and Birth: My goal is to empower mothers during labor with continuous physical, mental and emotional support, while effectively communicating and collaborating with your birth team to ensure your are nurtured, supported, and cared for. Virtual Postpartum Support: I offer compassionate virtual postpartum support for up to 12 weeks postpartum. This is service complimentary, available for mothers who seek continued guidance in the first 12 weeks of their postpartum period.
