Hi, I’m Alexa Thode—founder of Ground & Grow Birth Co. and a certified prenatal and labor doula, postpartum and infant care doula, and childbirth educator, serving families across Tampa Bay, Florida. I believe birth is sacred, and no one should have to walk through it alone. With a calm presence, evidence-based knowledge, and intuitive care, I support families through the emotional, physical, and spiritual waves of labor and postpartum. I’m also trained through Tampa General Hospital to assist in the OR and PACU, allowing me to remain a steady support during cesarean births when permitted. My approach is holistic, nurturing, and deeply personal. I offer guidance with comfort measures, birth planning, lactation, newborn care, and postpartum healing—while creating space for families to feel heard, empowered, and supported. The Grounded Birth Package

Birth is sacred—and you shouldn’t have to walk through it alone. I’m here to hold space, offer comfort, and remind you of your strength. Through personalized prenatal visits, we’ll get to know each other, talk through your birth preferences, and prepare you (and your support person) with practical tools, comfort techniques, and evidence-based information to approach labor with confidence. When the time comes, I’ll be by your side through every wave of labor—whether at home, birth center, or hospital—offering continuous physical, emotional, and informational support. From early labor to your baby’s first cry, I’ll help create a calm environment, suggest movement and positioning for comfort, advocate for your preferences when needed, and most importantly, remind you that you are never alone. My role is not to replace your partner, but to enhance your team—helping everyone feel supported, seen, and safe as you bring your baby into the world. This service includes: - Two prenatal visits to build connection, review comfort measures, and create a personalized birth plan - 24/7 on-call support starting at 38 weeks - Unlimited text and phone support for questions, reassurance, and guidance throughout late pregnancy and early labor - Continuous labor and birth support, from early labor through delivery - Immediate postpartum support for up to two hours after birth - One postpartum check-in visit within the first two weeks after birth Let me help you ground & grow!

The Sacred Six Weeks Package

The early weeks after birth are sacred — a time to slow down, heal, and be gently supported as you grow into your new role. This 6-week package is thoughtfully designed to carry you through the vital first six weeks postpartum, leading up to your first doctor’s appointment. It includes one 6-hour in-home session each week (36 total hours of care), giving you consistent, grounded support during this tender season. Each visit offers newborn care assistance, feeding and sleep guidance, emotional and physical recovery support, light household help, and the space for you to rest, restore, and reconnect with yourself. Whether you’re healing from birth, learning your baby’s rhythms, or simply needing a steady hand to hold, The Sacred Six Weeks Package nurtures your body, mind, and heart through one of life’s most beautiful transformations. This service includes: - In-home daytime postpartum support tailored to your needs - Support with postpartum healing - Light meal prep and basic household tasks - Lactation support and newborn feeding guidance - Newborn care education (diapering, soothing, bathing, basic infant care) - Guidance based on American Academy of Pediatrics Safe Sleep practices - Support with multiples and older siblings if needed - Emotional support and focused care to promote rest, recovery, and emotional wellbeing - Referrals to trusted resources if additional support is needed.

The Fourth Trimester Package

Your postpartum healing deserves time, attention, and nurturing care. This 12-week package is designed to support you through the entire Fourth Trimester — offering one 6-hour in-home session each week (72 total hours of care). Services include newborn care assistance, feeding and sleep guidance, emotional and physical recovery support, light household help, and protected time for you to rest and heal. Whether you’re navigating your first days with a newborn, healing from a cesarean, balancing older siblings, or simply needing a steady hand to hold, this package walks with you through the entire arc of your postpartum journey. This service includes: - In-home daytime postpartum support tailored to your needs - Support with postpartum healing - Light meal prep and basic household tasks - Lactation support and newborn feeding guidance - Newborn care education (diapering, soothing, bathing, basic infant care) - Guidance based on American Academy of Pediatrics Safe Sleep practices - Support with multiples and older siblings if needed - Emotional support and focused care to promote rest, recovery, and emotional wellbeing - Referrals to trusted resources if additional support is needed.

For someone as neurotic as me, Alexa helped make my birthing process sooooo much better. Alexa listened with intention and care, validating every single one of my concerns and quirks with warmth and professionalism. She honored my birth plan with immaculate precision (down to every little detail I had mapped out) and still managed to create a nurturing, peaceful, and empowering space that helped me feel safe, supported, and seen. Alexa brought both calm and confidence into the delivery room. Her presence is so grounding and calm! Which is exactly what I needed (and she knew). I can’t recommend her enough.
