The cost of a night nanny in Athens, GA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Athens, GA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

I am a professional labor doula and childbirth educator. I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Georgia. I am a dedicated and compassionate labor doula, committed to empowering women and families throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journey. With a background in mental health and a passion for supporting expectant mothers, I bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and empathy to my role as a doula. My calming demeanor and reassuring presence help to alleviate anxiety and promote a sense of calm during what can be an intense and transformative experience. I have called North Georgia home for the last 18 years. I’ve been married to my husband Adam for 5 years. We have two boys under the age of four. In my spare time I enjoy volunteering on my church’s hospitality team, gardening, and spending time outside with my family. I became interested in becoming a doula after experiencing the benefits of hiring a doula for my second birth. I find great joy in walking with women in their motherhood journey.

I genuinely cannot begin to say how thankful I am for Alexis and how she walked with us through our journey to parenthood. We had two prenatal meetings where she met with my husband and I to talk through our birth wishes and just get to know us as people. She focused on getting to know the "why" behind our birth wishes and not just the "what." Her background in counseling was such a perfect fit with her doula services as she helped us walk through the crazy emotions that surround birth and becoming a parent. We talked through how I would feel emotionally if my birth didn't go "according to plan;" we talked about how our marriage was doing in the midst of the pregnancy. Her birth class was super helpful in it made us informed and prepared about what would and could happen during birth. She did check ins after every OB appointment to see how things were going and see how I was feeling every step of the way. When my water broke, she checked in every few hours to keep up with my early labor and give us tips for the early contractions and then met us at the hospital when I was in active labor. I had all back labor, and she and my husband took turns giving me counter pressure on my back for hours. She helped guide me on when to switch positions and try new tactics. She was even there to help with little things like moving our car because it was still parked out front. After our son was born, Alexis stayed with us a few more hours until we were fully settled in our recovery room. She did a follow up meeting with us about a week after delivery and just sat with us and helped me process my birth experience which thankfully was everything that I wanted, but it's still a lot to process. Alexis set up a meal train for us and even brought a meal herself. She texted and checked in with how I was healing, how I was doing emotionally, and just how I was adjusting to motherhood every few days after birth and then weekly for the first two months postpartum. My husband and I genuinely felt like we weren't in this alone, that we had a guide walking through it with us. It was so nice that my husband could support me emotionally and didn't have to worry about having all of the knowledge to specifically support me during labor - he could focus on being my husband and not my coach. We just felt so supported and encouraged the entire journey. She constantly went above and beyond what a typical doula would do. I cannot rave about Alexis enough, and our plan is to have her present for all future childbirths.

We had every intention of hiring her as our nanny, but unfortunately our plans changed when my husband unexpectedly lost his job. Even though we weren’t able to move forward, I wanted to leave a review because our experience with her was excellent. From the very beginning, she was incredibly kind, professional, and responsive. Communication was always prompt and easy, and she made a wonderful first impression when she came to meet our 3-month-old daughter. She was warm, gentle, and seemed like such a natural with babies. What really stood out was how seriously she takes childcare. She asked thoughtful questions about our daughter’s feeding schedule, nap routine, preferences, and overall care, which gave us so much confidence that she genuinely wanted to provide the best possible care. It was clear she is experienced, attentive, and truly invested in the well-being of the children she cares for. We were so excited to have found someone we felt completely comfortable trusting with our baby girl, and we’re disappointed that our circumstances prevented us from moving forward. We absolutely plan to keep in touch and hope to use her for babysitting or as our nanny in the future when the opportunity arises. I would highly recommend her to any family looking for a caring, reliable, and professional caregiver!

We were incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Felicia care for our daughter for two weeks between long-term nannies, and we only wish we could have had her with us longer. From day one, she was warm, loving, and immediately put our family at ease. She brought a wonderful combination of professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care to her work. During her time with us, our daughter was beginning to teeth, and she navigated that with patience and expertise. She always seemed to know exactly what our baby needed and was a calming, reassuring presence for both of us. What stood out most was the special bond she developed with our daughter in such a short time. Our baby absolutely adored her and was always excited to see her each day. It was clear that she truly enjoys working with children and connects with them in a meaningful way. She was also incredibly flexible, dependable, and easy to communicate with. Whether adjusting to our schedule or helping wherever needed, she consistently went above and beyond. We wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Felicia to any family looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and trustworthy nanny. Any family would be lucky to have her, and we are so grateful for the time she spent with ours.

Quazy was absolutely incredible! My husband and I were first time parents, and she was so warm and inviting. The morning my water broke, I called her at 3AM and she zoomed over within the hour. We were having a home birth, and she got there and immediately set up pur birth room, all the while, gently talking to my husband and I. She was so sweet, especially to him, as he looked like a deer in headlights and froze up when he realized it was really happening, and our daughter would be here soon. By the time my midwife arrived, I was already having some pretty intense contractions. While our midwife wanted us to head to a hospital for the pain, Quazy was able to center me and remind me that I wanted to do a natural birth, and we only needed to leave if something was "wrong." We waited another hour after this, and I was able to deliver my beautiful girl all on my own. I loved that Quazy was there for me to lean on when I was scared, and I am eternally grateful for how strongly she believed in me
