An Incredibly Positive and Blessed Experience with Abbie! As a first time mom, I cannot speak highly enough about the support and care I received from Abbie. From our very first meeting, it was clear that she was not only knowledgeable and experienced but also deeply compassionate. She took the time to get to know our preferences, answer all of our questions, and make sure we felt comfortable and supported throughout my entire pregnancy journey. She was great with communication and provided us with resources throughout pregnancy for birth prep. When labor came, Abbie was calm, present, and prepared. She gave us reassurance and confidence in our birth plan/decisions throughout, while respecting the space and prioritizing baby's health. She was present throughout all of labor (A LONG TIME) and was able to help me try different positions, offer hands on support and holistic pain relief strategies, prayer, Bible verses, positive affirmations and encouraged me to eat & drink. Her presence made all the difference—I felt empowered and confident knowing she was there advocating for me and my baby. What truly stands out about Abbie is her ability to create a warm, non-judgmental space, no matter what the circumstances, and her shared faith which allowed me to open up and feel comfortable having her at my birth. She was prepared during the labor process and helped my husband and I feel confident. Thanks to her support and expertise, I felt so much more prepared for the challenges of labor and postpartum. I couldn’t have asked for a better doula, and I highly recommend her to anyone. I also want to share that I originally was skeptical of having a doula, but after many prayers I am so grateful we found Abbie and had her support during my unmedicated birth. God is good! Thank you, Abbie, for being such a vital part of our birth story and for helping us bring our baby girl into this world!

Cory Atkins became my Doula during my sixth month of pregnancy. Before connecting with her, I was not going to use the service for my homebirth as I was not sold on the benefit after meeting with doulas in the Atlanta area and coming up unsuccessful due to feeling like a number for materialistic gain. After connecting and consulting with Cory, she completely changed that for me. I truly felt like my spirit was waiting for her. She is extremely intuitive, passionate about connecting with the clients she takes on and exudes a natural maternal power through knowledge and touch that blew me away. Her energy is very calming and welcoming, just like an old friend. After our initial consultation, she jumped right in and missed not one beat. I was able to open up to her easily and dig through layers of the emotional aspects of pregnancy that I was silently dealing with and go through my thoughts around having my first child naturally at home with all that is happening in the world . Cory was the complete package for me. She is very aware of energy and will not hesitate to remain flexible by checking in when she feels the need, scheduling extra sessions or even going virtual. As I reached the end of this pregnancy, her services shifted to comfort management, where she also educated my partner, and prepared my mind for the labor process. Nikki is amazing! She trained under me for twelve weeks in The Bradley Method and I assisted her during her first natural birth. Since then, Nikki has been extremely passionate in becoming the very best Doula she can be. We started Your Birth Helper Ga and Nikki serves the majority of our Atlanta and surrounding areas. Our focus is low intervention/ natural birth, but we support all families no matter how baby exits the womb. Nikki is also a tremendously effective childbirth educator and knows how to properly train her clients to meet their goals. My husband and I could not have imagined someone better to walk along side us through the birth process, especially for our first child. Christy is deeply knowledgable and an incredible leader. Me nor my husband had any issues getting questions or concerns answered with a vast amount of information, care, and prayer. Throughout my pregnancy, she gave me the knowledge and instilled the confidence to trust my body that it would do what it is created to do. If we have more children, Christy is certainly the person we will be calling! I had a precipitous birth, which Christy handled masterfully. We had a beautiful birth plan drawn up and everyone knew their roles. However, when push came to shove (no pun intended) Christy was able to quickly, professionally, and compassionately help us throw our plans to the side and was a wonderful advocate for me in the hospital when I was unable to advocate for myself. Though it was quick, because of Christy, I knew exactly what was happening through each stage of labor which kept me from being fearful. She was the thread of calm in the chaos of such a fast labor and made what could have been a rather traumatic experience a beautiful one.

Megan is truly the best! Hiring her was the best decision my husband and I made with our second child. I went into labor 5 weeks early and she was by my side the entire time. I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about Alyssa. From the very beginning, she made me feel prepared, heard, and completely supported. She helped me create my birth plan, went over every detail with me beforehand, and truly took the time to understand the birth I wanted. She stayed on call with me while I labored at home, kept up with my contractions, and came straight to the hospital the moment I called her. She was there through every part of my labor. She helped me with different positions, including the rebozo sifting technique, which was one of my favorites and brought me so much relief. She even brought the rebozo herself, along with a comb to help redirect the pain, snacks, drinks, and headphones in case I needed them. What meant so much to me was how intentional she was about creating a calm, safe space for me to give birth. She dimmed the lights, kept the room peaceful and quiet, and made sure the environment felt exactly how I wanted it to. She also made sure my husband felt included and supported throughout the entire experience, which meant so much to both of us. When I was exhausted and overwhelmed, Alyssa became my voice. She helped me understand what the doctors were asking, advocated for me, and made sure my wishes were respected when I didn’t have the energy to speak for myself. I truly, from the bottom of my heart, don’t think I could have had the dream birth I wanted without her. She gave me comfort, strength, reassurance, and so much love during one of the most intense and beautiful moments of my life. At this point, I swear Alyssa basically delivered my baby herself 😂❤️. I am forever grateful for her and everything she did for me. If you’re considering a doula, I cannot recommend Alyssa enough. She is truly incredible at what she does, and I feel so lucky that she was part of such a special moment in my life. 🤍

Me and my husband just had our 3rd baby, and decided it would be helpful to have a postpartum doula join us during my postpartum recovery period. Let's face it, we were officially out numbered and breastfeeding a little we had our hands full and could use a little help. Brittany was a beautiful match for our home. She has an amazingly warm energy about her and so knowledgeable in herbalism. She jumped right in to help where we needed her to, from helping with the kids, laundry, and dishes. It was so helpful in time where I am not 100% yet. She also offered a kind ear to hear my birth story and offered some good advice on how to navigate our new family dynamic. So appreciative to have met such a kind soul and highly recommend her during your postpartum journey.

She’s more like a sister and I’m is so accommodating and real. Enjoyed my experience with her. We planned a home birth but it was my first pregnancy and 72 hours of labor so I transferred to hospital. But even then it wasn’t THAT bad. She encapsulated my placenta as well and made me a tincture, so she picked my placenta up swiftly! I would recommend her to anyone! However it’s worth saying she had one thing to note is although she’s very nurturing and innerstanding and has ALOT of outside and inside help and support from mentors and those with children. She doesn’t have children herself so I felt a slight disconnect with my first delivery because I wasn’t sure what to do and she couldn’t coach me through that aspect but other than that I’d 10 out 10 recommend.

As a first-time dad, I thought my main job during labor was to not pass out. Turns out, with Savannah by our side, I got to be an actual support system instead of just a nervous wreck holding a granola bar. From the first meeting, Savannah made both of us feel completely at ease. She answered every question, even my ridiculous ones like, “is there a wrong way to hold a leg during pushing?”. She helped us create a birth plan, and more importantly, she made sure we felt confident when things didn’t go exactly according to that plan. When labor started on a Tuesday at 2 AM, she was the first to text back ,faster than my mom, which is saying something. Lol. By Wednesday afternoon, after countless counter-pressure techniques, words of encouragement, and somehow keeping my wife calm through contractions that could bend steel, she was still going strong. I, on the other hand, was running on fumes and hospital vending machine coffee. She even reminded me to eat so I didn’t become the patient instead of the support partner. Then came the magic moment. As my wife was delivering our little one on Wednesday night, Savannah coached me through every step. She knew exactly what we needed even when we didn’t but she always asked before stepping in to make us feel comfortable. This whole experience was a blessing. Thank you Savannah for taking care of my wife and helping welcome our new addition to our family.
