I'm a Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educator, and Certified Body Ready Method® Pro who has passionately supported families during pregnancy and birth since 2001. (495 births attended as of August 2026!) I want you to have a positive and peaceful birth, no matter how your labor unfolds. (Think of me as your local tour guide and translator on a visit to a foreign land!) I serve families in the Middle TN region with in-person support and provide virtual assistance nationwide. I am an experienced, trained, and certified birth doula and an advocate for changing the birth narrative in our world. Overcoming the heartbreaking loss of my mom through childbirth, I faced my own fears through my three births. During those experiences, I uncovered profound strength, resilience, and courage beyond my wildest imagination. Birth invites us on a journey of self-empowerment. Jorie is a birth + postpartum doula and loves every moment of it. She’s certified through Birth Boot Camp and has also trained as a VBAC doula to support clients having a vaginal birth after cesarean. At the young age of 15, Jorie had the privilege of attending her first nephew's birth, an experience that ignited a deep-seated passion within her for supporting families during pregnancy and beyond. Once she experienced that birth, she continued to attend the rest of her nephews + nieces births and took to being the friend or sister who sat with loved ones in their postpartum days. She is known for her warmth, patience, and intuitive ability to learn and guide people in the newness of parenthood. Whether Jorie’s clients find themselves in the midst of labor or navigating the beautiful chaos of life with a newborn, she is there to walk alongside them every step of the way. I am a Mom to my son and daughter, and a Nana to two Princesses. A bit on the crunchy side, I enjoy organic gardening, whole foods cooking, sewing, and continuing to learn. You have freedom to labor and birth in any position you want, you are encouraged to eat and drink in labor, any decisions during your prenatal, birth and postpartum care are up to you. My passion for birth work began at age 14 when I unexpectedly supported my aunt during an unplanned home birth.
