I moved to FL in OCT 2019. My oldest was a traumatic labor and delivery. It was with a provider that I didn't research and everything felt out of my control. It was rushed, medicated, and scary. After that I promised myself to have a better birth next time. All of my other children have been natural births, in the hospital, with a midwife. I decided to become a doula early into 2021 after finding out I was going to be an aunt. I researched and learned and realized that this is my passion. As a doula I offer many forms of support and aid. I am trained in natural pain relief positioning, comforting touch, and breathing techniques. I am an emotional support to ensure that families have a positive birthing experience. I also am a support to your birth partner, whether your birth partner is a spouse, parent, romantic partner, family member, or friend. I help to make sure your birth partner is as involved as you wish them to be. I help you to make informed decisions that work best for you and your birth experience. I believe in informing my clients, not influencing them. I advocate for you! I will help your voice and wishes be heard so you can have the birth that you want and deserve. Hi my name is Vanesa, located in Ellenton FL and have over a decade in infant care. My mission is to provide families the leisure/pleasure of sleep while ensuring their newborn receives the attentive and expert care throughout the night. With over 100 hours of volunteer work at my local hospital on the Mother and Baby Unit the gap from home and hospital is bridged. Whether you are breastfeeding, bottle-feeding or just navigating multiple challenges as your aid I will soothe the transition of care so you can get a great nights rest. We are a team and while the baby is sleeping or not requiring of my care, I will manage light household tasks such as sterilizing baby bottles, setting up prep work for the infant if needed for bottles, diapers/wipes and doing infant laundry. Hi, I’m Merinda! I’m married to my husband of 12 years, and together we’re raising three beautiful kids. I’m an Ohio native, but Florida has been home since 2017, and Sarasota is a place we’ve grown to love deeply. Our home is currently shared with our sheepadoodle, kitten, and four hens who keep life interesting! It’s a little busy, a little chaotic, and exactly the kind of full life I love. My husband and I also have the incredible privilege of serving as pastors of a local church body in Sarasota. We’ve been in full-time ministry for the past nine years, and it is both our passion and our honor to pursue the heart of God and walk alongside others as they seek Jesus. That calling has shaped so much of who I am and how I care for people—especially in the moments when life feels tender, uncertain, or overwhelming. I’m also a life coach, which means I spend a lot of time helping people work through those “stuck” places in their lives. I ask a lot of questions, listen closely, and help people uncover the answers that are often already within them. I love helping people move from feeling overwhelmed or uncertain to feeling clear, confident, and capable. That same heart is what drew me so deeply into birth work. My own experiences with pregnancy and birth have given me a unique perspective. I’ve experienced epidurals, elective inductions without an epidural, IVF, and I also had the incredible privilege of being a gestational carrier for my sister-in-law! Experiencing birth in such different ways has given me a deep compassion for the fact that there is no single “right” way for a birth story to unfold.
