How these prices are calculated

Prices are the rates night nannies and newborn care specialists list on their Bornbir profiles. Birth doula packages are left out, because they pay for labor support rather than nights. So are hourly rates under $15 or over $200, to leave out package prices entered as an hourly rate by mistake.

The Brentwood figures count providers based within 150 miles once at least 5 of them list prices; below that the page shows California or United States figures instead. Medians are the middle price, ranges the middle half of prices, and per-night costs assume a 10-hour shift. Figures recompute daily.

The cost of a night nanny in Brentwood, CA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Brentwood, CA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

I have been specializing in overnight child care and have been working as a night nanny (newborn care specialist), caring for newborns to help parents get restful nights sleep. I am experienced with working with children with special needs, preemies, children of multiples and children ranging from the age of newborn to teenagers. Strong references available upon request. I am hands on and very attentive to all children in my care. I look forward to connecting and hearing more about the hours and nights you are looking for. Thank you!

Alora has been incredible with our 3-week-old. From the first night, she brought a calm, confident presence that immediately put us at ease. She knows newborn care inside out and anticipates needs before we even say anything. Our daughter settles quickly with her, feeds smoothly, and stays comfortable the whole night. What I appreciate most is how steady and reassuring she is. She tracks every feed, diaper, and sleep stretch with real attention to detail, and she gives us clear guidance that actually helps us get through the day. She’s gentle, patient, and completely unflappable. Every morning we wake up rested and fully trust that our baby was cared for with the highest level of skill. Hiring her has made these early weeks so much easier. If you’re looking for someone dependable, kind, and truly experienced with newborns, I would recommend Alora without hesitation.

My role is to help families feel confident, informed, and truly supported as they recover, bond, and find their own rhythm at home. My philosophy centers on meeting each family where they are. Nathalia is the best! She has a sweet and gentle demeanor which puts babies and parents at ease. She is incredibly thoughtful and insightful, and made several recommendations to help us sleep longer (our main priority), which really helped. She also immediately identified a deeper issue I’d been having related to milk supply and raised it incredibly tactfully and helped me move past it. If you’re looking for someone who will truly take care of you and your family, look no further!

Hi there! I am a birth, and postpartum doula and I work to create a calm and safe space for you as you journey through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I prioritize your empowered and informed decision making, always turning you back to yourself and your intuition and ensuring you have all the information you need and want. I work with a holistic, traditional and Islamic framework. I believe in bringing in your belief system as the primary anchor to guide you through this process and am able to offer this especially, however not limited, to Muslim clients. When not working you can find me taking a class, running the lake in Oakland, laying in the sun somewhere or hunting for a coffee or smoothie with friends and their littles.

Recent review

Where do I even begin…. Imane is such a calm and peaceful presence. I only met her four hours before my baby was born — she was introduced to me by my original doula, who couldn’t attend because I was induced unexpectedly two weeks earlier than my due date. Even though we had just met, I immediately felt connected to her warm and positive energy. Inviting someone new into your birthing space isn’t an easy decision, but with Imane, it felt completely natural. She guided me through every contraction with such grace and reassurance that everything felt easier and more manageable. The name we had chosen for our son is Raihaan — and Imane happens to be the founder of “Rawh and Rayhan” same meaning different spelling. It felt like such a heavenly connection, as if things were meant to align that way. I am so grateful I said yes to having Imane step in. She made the birth of my second child feel calm, smooth, and truly special. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Imane! Forever grateful! 🤲🙏💕

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to introduce myself to you and share a little about what I do! My name is Kirsten Junghans and I am a DTI full spectrum doula, sleep trainer and postpartum chef. I serve the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm a single mother to an 11 year old kiddo named Ivy. As a doula my job is to make sure you know that your curiosities, concerns and questions are valid. The need to be reassured and supported are normal and valid as well. I am an advocate for all birthing individuals. With that being said, it is my responsibility and honor to comfort and support you in labor. I will tirelessly advocate for you to have the birth you want, to answer your questions and to explain what is happening. However, I will not be taking away your power by making every decision for you. This is your body, your birth and your baby. My job as your advocate and support person is to make sure you are informed of all your options, so that you don't ever lose your rights to bodily autonomy when you walk into the hospital. As your advocate I will do my utmost to support you and your choices while explaining your options to you. You are still in control, and that is very important to me! As a postpartum doula, I never overlook the importance of following up with you after your baby's birth. I will support you in the days, weeks or even months afterward. There are many types of support I offer including, feeding support, emotional support, helping you find a rhythm, preparing meals, and holding the baby so you can sleep. Everything I do is done to empower you and help you feel confident in your new role. The most important thing I do during the postpartum period is encourage you to rest and bond with your new baby. The weeks after birth are an immensely beautiful and emotional time. This is not the time to worry about cleaning and jumping back into your normal life. It's time to rest and get to know the child you've waited so long to meet!

I'm a queer, Black birth worker offering sliding scale doula care in the East Bay. I was born and raised in Oakland and I only take on a handful of clients at a time so that I can give you as much individualized attention as possible. I trained as a full-spectrum doula in 2021 with Sumi's Touch and have been actively supporting clients in the transformative process of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum for over a year. Before that, I worked as an infant-toddler teacher for years and I incorporate education on newborn care in my work as a doula. I believe that education and information is critical to you being able to make choices that work best for you and go into birth with confidence and grounding in your abilities and understanding of your own body and baby. The goal of every birth is to create an environment and process that is uniquely comfortable and grounding for the person giving birth and so I provide a number of prenatal sessions to prepare parents with the knowledge and tools to make their own informed decisions while also being ready to step in and advocate on behalf of the parents' needs at any point. I am particularly interested in mindful birthing and finding the methods of pain reduction that work for each person, building a birth environment that feels as familiar and homey as possible (music, lighting, calming scents, etc), and being anything and everything you may need from home to the hospital, whether that be a coach, cook, massage therapist, fierce advocate, or photographer. I also have an affinity for postpartum care that encompasses lactation support, postpartum healing, herbal remedies, baby care, or just doing your dishes so you don’t have to worry about that too.

Recent review

I was in labor for three days, and I can’t imagine how I would’ve managed without Leila. She is the support every person deserves during this process. She listened to my needs and helped me create a birth plan that reflected my personality. At the hospital, she advocated for me fiercely, pushing for alternatives that aligned with my wishes, even when the medical team repeatedly fear-mongered. Postpartum, she offered invaluable advice that helped me process my labor experience and navigate lactation. I am incredibly grateful that I had her by my side.
