The cost of a night nanny in Brooklyn, NY can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Brooklyn, NY, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

Hi there, Friend! I became a doula, because I realized my passion for prenatal care, birth, and postpartum support was not departing after my own experiences. My goal is to be able to help and support other women in my community. I desire to have them experience excitement and confidence in themselves that I hope leaves them encouraged. I have been through three pregnancies myself and have walked alongside many friends and family members journeys. I live in the tranquil countryside of Northern NJ, about 5 minutes away from the borders of Upstate NY and PA and only 90 minutes away from NYC! My husband of 10 years and myself were born and raised in Sussex County. We love where we live as it is quiet, beautiful, and allows us to continue our dreams of one day having our own homestead. We look forward to raising our three beautiful children here as well. As a collegiate business major and previous elementary/middle school educator, communication, organization, learning, and teaching are very important to me. Volunteering my time frequently allows my empathetic attributes to selflessly serve others and walk alongside my neighbors, peers, friends, and family. In my free time, I love being outside and active with people near and dear to me. I love to garden, take care of our chickens, cook, bake sour-dough, play board games, take hikes, and watch the occasional football game! When it is just my husband and I, you would find us reading or enjoying a nice conversation by the fire or outside in nature on the deck! I cannot wait to connect with you and hear about your journey into motherhood! Through communication, support, and love I am confident and hopeful to be able to come alongside you so you can experience strength, dignity, and laughter in all your maternal moments! XOXO

Krystal is incredible - she prepared me and my husband so well for birth. She educated me on so many facets of pregnancy that I was able to make educated decisions about what was best for me and baby! Just like I needed my husband by my side for the labor and delivery, I needed Krystal there just as much. Look no further - Krystal should be every expecting moms doula ❤️

Hi my name is Curbeth Tappin founder of Embrace a New Love postpartum services. I am a postpartum doula with 13 years of experience, providing exceptional care to families during the perinatal period. My journey into this field was inspired by my upbringing in a household with a mother who was a midwife, where I witnessed the miracle of birth and recognized the need for more support for both the birthing parent and baby during the postpartum period. As a postpartum doula, I offer comprehensive support to new mothers, including lactation assistance and daily infant care such as feeding and bathing. When working overnight, I ensures the baby's sleep environment is safe and maintains a detailed journal of sleep and feeding patterns. Trained by DONA International, I am well-equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide excellent care to both newborns and parents. My passion for postpartum care shines through in my dedication to helping families navigate this transformative time with comfort and confidence.

Curbeth Tappin helped my family. Curbeth was the postpartum doula for my sister a few years before I got pregnant with my 4th child. My sister recommended that I hire her because of how much she helped her with her daughter. Curbeth came into my home after my son’s birth and had the nursery completely organized. She assisted me to acclimate the older children with the new baby. She allowed me to rest while she took care of my son. Although I had 3 other children this time breastfeeding was a bit of a struggle. Curbeth provided lactation support as well as emotional support, which I needed to get through that difficult period. She stayed and worked with my family for 3 month. A couple months later i found out I was pregnant with my 5th and last child. Curbeth returned and provided the same amazing support she provided the first time. Having 2 child under 2 years old was a very difficult, but Curbeth made this so much easier. Her patients and loving nature made her feel like part of the family. I know that any family she works for will receive the best support ever.

Experienced in assisting with sleep training. I don't mind traveling for jobs. I have assisted 28 families so far in New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Texas and California. I am from Jamaica and currently live in Virginia and Brooklyn. I believe that with the right sensitive approach and careful assistance, a family can quickly adjust to their new addition to their family. Supporting them through tangible tasks, navigating feedings, diaper changes, baby's laundry, sleep training and light cleaning up, while nourishing them with home-cooked meals, or simply holding non-judgmental talk space for anything that's on their mind. Carefully monitoring the mother's physical and mental healing and the babies growth and development. Postpartum care is my passion and my unltimate goal is to empower the parents, providing them with the resources, knowledge and skills they will need to continue their postpartum journey comfortably even when my duties ends. Debbie was incredible support during the first few weeks of caring for our newborn daughter as I recovered from delivery and we adjusted to parenthood as first-time parents. Her top priority was always our daughter’s care, handling everything related to her needs, including diaper changes, laundry, and organizing her belongings. Debbie is kind, patient, respectful, and extremely professional. She made us feel comfortable and confident while teaching us essential newborn care skills, from diapering and feeding to bathing and soothing. Beyond hands-on care, she helped us stay organized, offered thoughtful product recommendations, and shared valuable tips for the future. Her knowledge, calm demeanor, and supportive approach made a meaningful difference during such a sensitive and important time in our lives.

I am a mother to a 5 year old and have loved children since I was a child myself. I have always been someone who enjoys helping people. I started on the path towards nursing, earning my Associate’s degree in Fall of 2022. After mostly completing my degree in summer of 2022, I realized my personality wouldn't shine in nursing. I am more empathetic and personable, which lead me to becoming a doula. I started with birth doula in August and it opened my eyes to my passion for birthwork. Shortly after, I took the postpartum doula workshop. That led me to also taking infant CPR, and earning a certified lactation support counselor as well. I am looking forward to sitting for the Lamaze CBE exam Fall of 2023. I have worked with families both prior to these certifications and currently and I can’t wait to explore and learn more

Antasia was an incredible support for my husband and I when we needed overnight care for our newborn. After interviewing many people, we had been turned off by those who were strict about their approach and seemed to want to impose their practices on our family. As new parents, we needed tenderness and flexibility—someone who would care for our son at night and allow us to sleep peacefully knowing our son was safe and being tended to the way we choose to raise him. Antasia was a calm and responsive presence, working with us to adapt to changes as our newborn developed and we grew as parents. She was always on time and communicated proactively in the rare instance there was a scheduling issue. At the start of every visit she asked us what changed and what was new, which was helpful as newborns change on a weekly basis and so did our approach. We were always at peace knowing Antasia was coming. I also was able to recover from insomnia due to Antasia’s presence and my confidence in her to look after our child while we slept. Our only regret was not meeting her sooner so we could have had her with our family on day 1 coming home from the hospital.

Kerrian helped take care of our new born daughter since Day 1 until about 3 months and I am eternally grateful that Kerrian was in our lives during this precious period. Kerrian has decades of experience with newborns and from Day 1 was able to understand the needs of our daughter and teach us how to take care of her (she is our first child). She was so gentle, loving and tuned into our daughters cues, it was remarkable. She was also very respectful of our choices and mature enough to not only take care of our daughter, but also us, especially me as a first time mother. She was emotionally supportive, gave me confidence on days I needed it and also helped me on my feeding journey. I cannot recommend Kerrian enough to any family. You would be lucky to have her be part of your child's life.
