My name is Julia. I am a birth doula, school psychologist, and mother of six beautiful children. I am passionate about birthwork and supporting others. My career has always involved helping others, it is a passion for me and I am excited to begin to help mothers. Motherhood is an amazing and vulnerable time of a woman's life. My job is to ease the transition and offer support for parents before, during, and immediately following birth.

I grew up in Connecticut in a loving neighborhood called Brookside Place. After graduating from The University of New Hampshire, I moved out to Los Angeles and became a talent manager in the entertainment industry. Several years later while supporting a family member through birth and parenthood I became fascinated by pregnancy, labor, and newborn care. Overnight I decided this was the path I was supposed to be on, and haven’t looked back since! My pratice has now expanded to included sleep coaching, as I find navigating good sleep habits with a newborn can be tricky and a daunting task to take on alone! My fiancé and I will be moving back to New England in 2024 to start our own family and I couldn’t be more excited to move my pratice back East. Right now I am available virtually as a consultant, and will open up my pratice full time in the coming months.

Hello there! I’m Greer Sargeant (She/Her/Hers), I live in Charlotte, Vermont, and grew up in the area. Most days, you can find me caring for newly postpartum families or supporting a birth. I am primarily known for my birth and postpartum doula work, as well as childbirth education. I have years of experience working with infants and families. My doula career has been filled with unique individuals who have allowed me to gain broad experiences. Specifically, I have frequently supported Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC) families, birthers of color, LGBTQ folks, and people with a history of anxiety and depression. I work with people who desire to have an empowered birth and postpartum experience. I am blessed to show families how to enter and engage in parenthood with the education and support they need to flourish.

I believe in supporting the natural processes of birth. After having my 3 children at home I was drawn to becoming a midwife to make sure that families continue to have access to safe nurturing pregnancy care options. I believe that the birthing person and their family should be centered in perinatal care. I support that through education and shared decision making made possible by appointments that are up to an hour long. This not only allows us to get to know on another, it also makes space for your questions and needs along this journey.

The Birthing Trail offers birth doula services and childbirth education classes, both group and private. We are based in Waterbury, VT and attend births at UVM Medical Center, Copley Hospital in Morrisville, Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, and Gifford in Randolph, as well as home births in that area. Hello, my name is Syriauna Wells-Brown, SBD, and I am the face behind The Precious Doula. I am a Birth and Bereavement Doula dedicated to supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, NICU experiences, and pregnancy or infant loss. My passion for women's health began at a young age and has continued to grow through my education, personal experiences, and professional training. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in Psychology and Neuroscience at Norwich University and plan to attend medical school to become an OB-GYN and Army Medical Officer. My academic background allows me to approach maternal care with an understanding of both the physical and emotional aspects of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. As a doula, I believe every mother deserves compassionate support, informed advocacy, and respectful care. I strive to create a safe space where families feel heard, empowered, and confident in their decisions.
