Hi, I'm Carrie-Lee! I'm a postpartum specialist with over fifteen years supporting families. Families I've worked with often say the same thing, that I put them instantly at ease, that I teach without ever making them feel overwhelmed, and more than one has told me they felt like they won the lottery finding me. That means everything to me. I raised three wildly creative, wonderfully unique kids to adulthood, and that experience shapes everything I bring into a family's home. Over the years I've kept training so I could support postpartum families in every direction they need it, baby care, parent education, helping parents sleep, helping baby sleep, meal prep, lactation support, all of it. So instead of piecing together three or four different specialists, you get one person who already knows your family. I'm laid back, calm under pressure, and genuinely love what I do. When I'm not with a family you'll find me camping, roller skating, gardening, canning, practicing archery, or slowly working my way toward conversational Spanish. Let's chat and see if we're a good fit! MORE TESTIMONIALS ON MY WEBSITE! **Certifications and Credentials:** - CAPPA Certified Lactation Educator - CAPPA Certified Infant and Family Educator - NCTA Trained Newborn Care Specialist - NCTA Trained Postpartum Doula - Certified Postpartum Doula by Lifespan Doulas - PSA Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant - Red Cross Adult and Infant First Aid/CPR/AED Certified - Clean background check available - Professionally insured 🩷

We had an exceptional experience with Carrie-Lee. As first-time parents bringing our newborn home, having her support as our postpartum doula made an incredible difference for our family. From the moment we met her, Carrie-Lee was warm, kind, and immediately put us at ease. Her extensive knowledge and experience with newborn care were evident in everything she did, and we trusted her completely to care for our daughter while we caught up on some much-needed sleep. Knowing our baby was in such capable and loving hands gave us tremendous peace of mind. Beyond the practical support, Carrie-Lee was also an amazing teacher. We learned so much simply by watching her interact with our daughter and through the thoughtful guidance and advice she shared with us. She has a wonderful ability to share her expertise in a way that feels encouraging, approachable, and never overwhelming. Carrie-Lee is not only exceptionally skilled but also incredibly down-to-earth and genuinely kind. We are so grateful she was part of our postpartum journey and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone welcoming a new baby, including our own family and closest friends. She is truly an invaluable resource, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had her support during such a special time.

Labor, Postpartum, lactation and Infant Care Specialist (ProDoula) Growing up, I was empowered having been around so many strong, independent women and it led me toward a path of wanting to carry that into my career. I believe that pregnancy and birth and postpartum are monumental life experiences that no one should have to do alone. Every person so matter their background or beliefs deserves support and respect as they venture through this major life transition. My personal philosophy of what doula embodies is a person who stands beside the new parent(s) to help with guidance, validation, and empowerment. For the last decade of my life I have been devoted to this practice, caring for and assisting with dozens of families to thrive in not only their family life but into their communities. And I hope to continue this practice for a long time.

Lexie was our doula for the birth of our babygirl and we couldn’t have asked for a better one! From our very first phone call we were impressed! Lexie is extremely knowledgeable about the birth world. We appreciated how she took the time to speak to us on the phone to learn about our goals and even walk us through a breathing exercise. We booked her when I was 38 weeks pregnant so there was some urgency with setting up our prenatal visit and wanting to make sure everything would work out for whenever we went into labor. From the beginning of finding her, Lexie was prompt in communicating with us through text and calls and that was very important to us. Her passion and knowledge came through so clearly during our prenatal visit and she gave us so much advice on birth, breastfeeding, sleep safety, and postpartum. Lexie was encouraging of our goal to do an unmedicated birth but when plans changed she wasn’t pushy, she was supportive. There was a moment where we had to make some tough decisions and Lexie made sure we had all the information for everything that was being thrown at us during labor and we got to the hospital! We’ve learned so much from her and I personally as a mom have felt supported and seen even during postpartum. She has a passion for supporting new moms and has been sweet enough to check in often since giving birth two months ago. I’ve appreciated having someone to ask questions to, especially since my husband and I don’t have family support here in Washington since moving here a few years ago. Overall, I highly recommend Lexie! I’m extremely grateful that our paths crossed and she helped welcome our babygirl !!

Hi, I’m Nicolette Meinert, the founder of Family In Bloom. I have worked with children and families since 1997, when I completed my first American Red Cross babysitting course. My path in early childhood care began in Wakefield, Massachusetts, where I volunteered in summer-school and after-school programs while attending Galvin Middle School. I went on to study Early Childhood Education at Wakefield Memorial High School. Since graduating in 2004, I have worked as an infant, toddler, and preschool teacher and as a full-time nanny, caring for children at many stages of development. I bring nearly three decades of experience, a calm presence, and deep respect for the trust families place in me. Newborn & Family Care My greatest passion is supporting families during the newborn stage and helping parents feel more confident as they adjust to life with a baby. Through Family In Bloom, I provide overnight infant care, postpartum support, newborn-care guidance, and thoughtful care tailored to each family’s routines, values, and needs. I have cared for several sets of twins and understand the distinct needs of multiples and the practical support their families often need. Whether you are welcoming your first baby, growing your family, or navigating a more complex newborn experience, my goal is to offer dependable, compassionate, and safety-centered support. Specialized Infant Experience I hold a special place in my heart for medically complex and premature newborns. My experience includes supporting infants with NG tubes, G tubes, and oxygen needs, as well as premature babies born as early as 30 weeks’ gestation. My commitment to this work grew while caring for premature twins who were born at 30 weeks’ gestation. That experience reinforced my belief that families caring for babies who need extra support deserve skilled, steady, and compassionate care. I work within my role and collaborate respectfully with each family’s established medical team and care plan. Safety-Centered Support Safety is a central part of my work. As an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor Trainer and Child Passenger Safety Technician, I enjoy helping families build practical skills and confidence around everyday safety. My approach combines continued education, careful attention to each child, and support that feels encouraging rather than overwhelming. Education, Training & Certifications My education and professional development include training and certification in: Early Childhood & Family Care - Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care infant, toddler, and preschool teacher - CAPPA Postpartum Doula - Newborn Care Solutions Newborn Care Specialist - Infant and Child Training Academy Multiples Care Specialist Infant Safety & Wellness - Safe Kids Child Passenger Safety Technician - Safe Sleep Ambassador - American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor Trainer - Medication Technician Feeding & Specialized Infant Support - Infant Feeding Technician - Pediatric Tube Feeding - Oral Ties - Infant Mental Health - SleepWonders Integrative Course for Professionals

Yaffa and I love working as a team! Here's a recent review from a birth doula client: From the first time we met Shira, we felt more at ease about our birthing time. Upon meeting Shira it is obvious how sweet, caring, and smart she is. Shira is very knowledgeable about pregnancy and birth, and she is super humble about her approach. She is here for you to answer your questions and make you feel prepared and comfortable. She doesn't push any personal agenda, she is a calm and peaceful presence who will guide you like a warm mother would, and with confidence. Shira is open minded. She was directly by my side taking my lead during my first birth, and both of our first HypnoBabies experience. She was the expert support and extra hands I needed alongside my husband. I had mostly back labor and she helped with counter pressure, positioning, and movement for 24+ hours! She said yes to all any any requests I had. When I decided to get an epidural/induction, she helped make that choice easier. She constantly shared my birth plan with the hospital staff to ensure everyone was on board with my vision so I didn't have to. It was very reassuring having her there and I truly couldn't have done it without her. The birth ended up being absolutely beautiful, magical, and a holy experience that I would be lucky and blessed to do over and over again. Thank you Shira!!

Throughout the 26-year journey of raising my sons, and being a nanny and caregiver, I have gained knowledge, skill and wisdom. I desire to teach, help and support new moms as they “find their inner mama”. I am there to teach new parents how to care for, soothe, breastfeed, read “cues” and feel confident and comfortable in the care of their babies. As a postpartum doula, my desire is for families to ease into the huge life change of adding a newborn as smoothly as possible, whether it’s their first baby or their fifth, since each child holds it own challenge, and the needs of families ebb and flow with a new child. My heart is to support families in a non-judgmental way in all their needs, whether it’s sleep, advice, holding the baby, helping the baby sleep, preparing a nourishing soup, folding laundry, helping you find resources in your local community, or just being a veteran mom who will listen as you process all the emotions of your transition into motherhood.

I don't know where our family would be without Rebekah's postpartum support! On a typical day, Rebekah will watch the baby while I get a good nap. She'll often cook a healthy snack or make dinner for us to reheat later. She is also a baby & breastfeeding expert and has so much knowledge to share. She has so many good tips about everything from nursing positions to diaper changes to managing sleep. Getting through this tough newborn phase has been so much easier with her guidance!

Hi, I’m Marsha, founder of Blissful Sleep Doulas. I began supporting families as a postpartum doula in 2018, and what started as one doula caring for one family at a time has grown into a trusted team of experienced, dedicated doulas supporting new and growing families throughout Greater Boston and beyond. Blissful Sleep Doulas offers birth and postpartum doula support, breastfeeding support, newborn and infant sleep support, and prenatal education. We also offer digital guides covering pregnancy, newborn care, postpartum recovery, feeding, sleep, and more, because we believe parents deserve reliable support and practical answers throughout the entire journey, not just after baby arrives. Every doula on our team is carefully vetted and brings professional training, hands-on experience, and a genuine passion for supporting families. Our approach is warm, judgment-free, and personalized to your family, your baby, and the kind of support you actually need. We believe the postpartum season deserves just as much care and preparation as birth itself. You shouldn’t be expected to figure everything out on your own or feel like you have to do it all without help. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating those first weeks at home, looking for overnight support so everyone can get some much-needed rest, or trying to understand your baby’s changing sleep needs, our team is here to help you feel supported, rested, and confident along the way. I cannot recommend Blissful Sleep enough! We have used them twice now, and their timeliness and reliability really stood out compared to other services we’ve tried. The doulas are natural at soothing and caring for babies, and they were incredibly helpful with establishing routines. Beyond just childcare, they did dishes, washed bottles and pump parts, and helped with other chores, which gave us more time for sleep. We appreciated how flexible they were. They always adjusted to whatever we needed that specific morning—some days that meant letting the baby sleep as long as possible, and other days they had her changed and fed so she was ready for our morning rush to school/ work. If our baby didn't need anything in the morning they would brew coffee and read to the older kiddos. They go above and beyond to support the whole family.

Hi, I’m Danielle! I’m a postpartum doula, lactation educator, and Master Health Coach with a Bachelor’s in Health Education and a passion for practical, evidence-informed, and nourishing care for mothers and families after birth. With over a decade in healthcare, I support families through the realities of early postpartum life, from physical recovery and infant feeding to newborn care, nourishing meal preparation, rest, and the everyday tasks that can feel overwhelming with a new baby. My approach is mother-first, with hands-on support that helps mothers feel cared for while they care for their babies. I’m also a mom who has experienced the messy, beautiful, and humbling parts of postpartum myself. My own recovery taught me how important practical support, nourishment, and having someone in your corner can be during those early weeks. I’m passionate about helping mothers feel informed, replenished, and supported as they recover, adjust, and settle into life with their baby.

Danielle has guided and supported me through so many different experiences in motherhood. She is heartfelt, warm and well-rounded in everything pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. What makes her truly special is the way she makes you feel. Her voice and passion for supporting women has genuinely changed my outlook on my own care and taught me how important it is for mothers to feel understood, respected, and empowered. I once heard someone say, “If a mom has something negative or judgmental to say about another mom, they simply don’t get it.” That has always stuck with me because, as mothers, judgment and unsolicited advice seem to come from everywhere: You should do this. Why did you do that? When I was pregnant, I did this... Danielle is truly the first mom I have ever been blessed to know who has simply loved, listened, and cared about what I am experiencing without a single ounce of judgment. She is one of the most accepting and understanding mothers I have ever had the privilege of walking through motherhood with. We are all walking our own paths in life and motherhood, and when we lift one another up instead of judging one another, we empower each other to do things we may not have believed we could do. Danielle taught me that. If you have the opportunity to have Danielle support you through pregnancy, postpartum, or motherhood, you will be in the most loving and capable hands. She is truly a rare find, and any mother would be lucky to have her in her corner. ❤️

Hi, my name is Kimberly. I am the manager of Gentle Beginnings LLC. I started my birth doula career back in 2020. I was a new mom and realized I had a passion for doula care and I decided to jump into it! Unfortunately, the pandemic made it quite difficult to attend births in person but that didn't stop me. Over the years, I learned many new families didn't just need a support person through birth but also for all the phases that followed. Currently I'm working towards my pediatric sleep consultant certification. My business partner, Evelyn, has 30+ years of experience as a nanny and newborn care specialist, and has recently been certified as a postpartum doula as well. We both decided it was time to start a new company that offered all the services! We look forward to helping you through any part of your journey as a new family and hope you choose us as your providers!

We are so thankful for Kim and her crew during those early months with our daughter. Even as a second time mom it is so helpful to have an extra set of seasoned eyes on your newborn. Our daughter was dealing with some gas issues. She was able to help us figure out what worked for our daughter. We adjusted her bottle and post feeding routine to help alleviate the gas. I also feel that they help lay the ground work for independent sleep which is such a blessing! We cannot thank them enough for the care they have provided for both of our children. If baby three ever happens, they will be our first call!

In my work as a doula, I love incorporating mindfulness and confidence building to help my clients thrive. I find that these practices help clients build trust in their bodies and in themselves, as individuals and as parents, and connects them to their inner strength. Some fun facts about me: I love dancing, watching movies, and I am an animal lover! As a child, I grew up on a small farm. My cat Boo is my child. I can’t say enough good things about Becca! From the very beginning, she was there to help me prepare both physically and emotionally. She’s not only incredibly knowledgeable but also so fun and kind, which made the whole process feel a lot less overwhelming. Becca helped me build muscle memory for key movements that would be useful during labor. But she made sure I was not overwhelmed with too much information to be able to stay in “laborland” as she calls. She guided me in identifying and addressing my fears before birth. Acknowledging those fears ahead of time gave me a sense of peace I didn’t even realize I needed. She also helped me create a value-based birth plan, ensuring it was respected by the hospital team (which was not standard care in the hospital!) During labor, Becca was absolutely incredible. She stayed with us for 24 hours straight (or maybe more? I lost track of time after a while lol), supporting not just me but my husband too by helping him to help me. Her positive energy made a huge impact. She created a calm, cozy space with her electric candles and soft voice where I felt safe and protected. She moved with me and held space. When a doctor dismissed my needs and concerns, Becca was right there to advocate for me and made sure my voice was heard. Her advice on pushing positions and paced pushing helped turn my baby, who was in a side position, allowing me to give birth vaginally without tearing!- which was one of my fears. Even after labor, when I felt completely drained and defeated, Becca was there with her positive, reassuring words. She kept reminding me of how strong I had been, especially when I stood up for myself when some of the providers weren’t as responsive as they should’ve been. It helped me to rewrite my birth story and made it a story of empowerment! Becca’s kindness, fun personality, and ability to create such a positive environment gave me the confidence to believe in myself. I truly don’t know how I would have gotten through the experience without her, and I’ll always be so grateful for the positive impact she had on me and my birth!

Luciana was an exceptional night doula/newborn care specialist and support for us and our son. She has such a warmth about her and a love for what she does, and she is so knowledgeable; she put our new parent minds at ease, and we learned so much from her. She helped us transition home from a prolonged hospital stay, and she went above and beyond, checking in with us during the day as well to help with feeding and sleep suggestions. Would highly highly recommend her, she is the best!
