Long before becoming a doula, I understood the importance of supporting mothers because I had experienced motherhood myself. Today, as both a mother and grandmother, I've had the privilege of watching motherhood unfold across generations. Those experiences have given me a deep appreciation for just how significant birth is. Every mother is different. Every baby is different. And every birth story is different. That's why I believe good doula care begins with listening. I was drawn to doula work because I wanted to provide women with the kind of steady, compassionate support that can be so meaningful during labor and birth. My approach is especially centered around comfort care and birth coaching. I help mothers explore different labor positions, movement, relaxation and comfort techniques while also providing the emotional encouragement that can be just as important during labor. I don't believe my role is to take over your birth experience. I'm there to walk beside you. To encourage you when labor becomes difficult. To help you find another position when something isn't working. To remind you of your strength when you're tired. To listen to what you need. My love for babies started when I was young, babysitting siblings, family, and friends' kids, and that lifelong passion has grown into a rewarding career path as I prepare to graduate in 2027 in Respiratory Care, aiming to specialize as an RRT in Labor & Delivery and the NICU. My journey to this work is also deeply personal: as both a mom and a former surrogate, I know firsthand how incredibly vulnerable and important the fourth trimester is.

My journey into birth work began eight years ago after the birth of my son and deepened through my experience as a gestational surrogate and, most recently, the birth of my daughter this past summer. Those journeys which were both beautiful and challenging, showed me the power of feeling seen and supported. My own doula’s care really inspired me to offer that same gift to others. I hold a Master’s in Counseling, am a National Certified Counselor, and am a Certified Doula through New Beginnings Doula Training.
