What's the Cost of Hiring a Midwife in Coppell, TX?

The cost of a midwife in Coppell, TX, can vary depending on the specific services provided, the midwife's level of experience, and whether the care is for home birth, birth center delivery, or prenatal/postnatal care only. On average, midwife services in Texas range from $3,000 to $6,000 for prenatal care, delivery, and postpartum care. Some midwives may offer payment plans, and costs can vary if insurance covers part of the services. It is best to contact local midwives or birth centers directly to get accurate pricing for your situation.

The cost of a midwife in Coppell, TX can be influenced by several factors:

  • Type of Midwife

Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) who work in hospital settings may have different pricing than Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) who attend home births or birth center deliveries.

  • Birth Setting

Hospital births with a midwife typically cost less out-of-pocket when covered by insurance, while home births and birth center deliveries may have different fee structures.

  • Scope of Services

Many midwives offer comprehensive packages that include prenatal visits, labor and delivery support, and postpartum care, which can affect the overall cost.

  • Insurance Coverage

Whether insurance covers the cost of a midwife in Coppell, TX, depends on your specific insurance plan and the midwife's credentials. Many insurance plans do cover midwifery services, particularly if the midwife is licensed and working within a hospital, birthing center, or as part of an in-network provider. However, coverage can vary widely, especially for home births or out-of-network midwives. It's essential to check with your insurance provider to understand your benefits, including what types of midwifery services are covered, any potential out-of-pocket costs, and if pre-authorization is required.

  • Experience and Specialization

Midwives with extensive experience, additional certifications, or specializations such as VBAC support or water birth may charge higher rates.

  • Geographic Location

Midwifery costs can vary based on the cost of living and demand for midwifery services in your specific area.

When considering hiring a midwife in Coppell, TX, it's advisable to research and interview several midwives to find one who aligns with your birth plan, preferences, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services, insurance acceptance, and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs.

I was born and raised in DFW. My family and friends mean the world to me. Having a sense of community is so important. My favorite people in the world call me Aunt Dani! In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, practicing hot yoga, working out, going to church, and sewing. My faith has definitely helped shape me as a midwife. Hallowed means regarded as holy or sacred. To me birth is a very sacred experience that should be treated as such. Before stepping into the role of a midwife, I spent nearly three years as a labor and delivery nurse in a hospital setting. It provided me with a solid foundation and invaluable experience, but I slowly came to realize that my values did not align with the hospital culture. When I moved to San Diego in 2018 I decided to leave the hospital and pursue my dream of becoming a midwife. During my training I truly fell in love with home birth. Witnessing a baby enter this world in the very place they will grow up is an incredibly special and sacred experience that deeply touches my heart. During my midwifery training, I made the decision to move back to Texas, wanting to be closer to my family and friends. After completing my midwifery education I began working at a birth center. The birth center was an amazing experience, but I am thrilled to embark on this next chapter of my career, returning to home births and reconnecting with families. This is where my true passion lies—to provide personalized, compassionate care that honors each family's unique needs and choices. I am genuinely excited to be a part of your journey, guiding you through the miraculous experience of childbirth with unwavering support, respect, and empowerment. I look forward to connecting with you!

I am a passionate doula and yoga teacher who loves helping people find balance and strength in every stage of life. As a birth and postpartum doula, I specialize in natural births and believe every woman should have the opportunity to birth on her own terms. I provide evidence-based education, emotional support, and hands-on care, empowering families to make informed decisions that align with their values. With a calming presence and deep respect for the birthing process, I ensure each person feels supported, heard, and in control of their experience. Since 2019, I’ve been sharing my love for yoga through mindful, approachable classes filled with good energy. With a bachelor's degree in Child Development, I blend my deep knowledge with a warm, compassionate approach—whether I’m guiding someone on the mat or supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Above all, I am a devoted mother who cherishes time with my son. I find joy in the outdoors, spending my free moments with loved ones, on my yoga mat, or enjoying peaceful walks. My mission is to create nurturing, empowering spaces where people can grow, connect, and feel supported on their journey.

Mya is amazing! She did an excellent job going over my options (both in terms of birth interventions and her support measures) and learning my birth desires and preferred comfort measures during prenatal appointments. She took the time to interact with my children so they’d feel comfortable with her coming into our home. Once we knew baby was on the way, she arrived quickly and more than prepared for all my potential needs and desires. When labor was hard, I felt comfortable expressing my feelings, and Mya knew exactly what to do and say to encourage me and physically help me through the discomfort. My mother made it a point to call me the next day and say that Mya has a warm yet calming energy, and that she was impressed with how anticipatory Mya was (noticing when I might need water, a tens unit adjustment, a comb to hold, etc. and acting right away). I even overheard my midwife telling Mya how impressed she was and asking for business cards so she could recommend Mya to her clients. This was my third child and third unmedicated birth, and I can say with confidence that—even as an experienced and thoroughly educated mother—Mya made a significant, positive difference in how I experienced my labor. She was a trusted friend who moved through the experience with me, soothing me, supporting my family, and effortlessly helping to coordinate small details like facilitating pickup with the placenta encapsulator. I appreciated her knowledge, work ethic, and servant’s spirit. If I ever fall pregnant again, I will be hiring Mya, and I highly recommend you do, too.

Hey there! I’m Cadence Busch — a Christian Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Student Midwife serving families in the DFW and surrounding areas. God put it on my heart to pursue birth work and He has blessed my pursuits while all the more growing my passion for it. In His sovereign timing, I was able to begin my journey of becoming a doula and am now honored to get to participate during this truly sacred time in a mother’s life. I am passionate about teaching women that God has designed their bodies exactly for this purpose and that they are capable, with the help of the Lord, of bringing new life into the world. My desire is that mothers will find their repose and rest in the Lord throughout their entire pregnancy and to experience the profound joy that comes with the birth of a new baby. As I strive to support, educate, and equip couples with the knowledge they need for a calm, positive, and beautiful birth experience, I want to remind them that every step of their birthing journey is in His hands.

I can’t thank Cadence enough for everything she did for us!! I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical about hiring a doula at first, but during our first visit together, I knew the Lord had sent her to me and that she was going to be invaluable. She educated me on so many things and answered all of my many questions! When it came time for my birth, I felt confident and empowered going into it with her by my side. I couldn’t have done it without Cadence! I truly think every woman should be able to have a doula. I would use Cadence again in a heartbeat — and maybe one day we will!!

Hello! My name is Tab’itha, better known as Tabby, and I’m a passionate certified professional midwife currently residing in Mesquite, Texas. I was born and raised in the Stop 6 area of Fort Worth, TX, and I am a proud mother of three teenage girls. From a young age, I always wanted to be a "baby doctor." My grandmother would often say, "You will be a doctor, and your sister will be a lawyer." Although I encountered quite a few roadblocks and detours along the way, I eventually found my way back to what my grandmother had always believed in, but in a way that resonates with me even more—becoming a midwife. I later discovered that midwifery was in my blood; my great-grandmother was a trusted midwife in her small community in Mississippi, which further inspired my journey. I graduated from Southwest Tech with an associate degree in Health Science and Midwifery in December 2024 and passed my NARM exam in April 2025, becoming fully licensed as a midwife in Texas. I am currently finishing up my Bachelor’s in Nursing at Arizona College, further enhancing my skills and knowledge in healthcare. My journey into birth work began in 2018 when I trained as a birth doula through DONA. As a doula, I have attended over 150 in-hospital and out-of-hospital births. When COVID peaked, I was fortunate enough to continue support in the hospital. It was during this time that I realized I needed to acquire the education and skills to become a community midwife sooner than I had originally planned. During my schooling, I attended an additional 95 births and worked with several well-respected midwives and OB-GYNs in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, gaining invaluable experience. I have also acquired skills and experience as a bereavement and cesarean/VBAC support specialist, allowing me to provide comprehensive care to families during significant moments in their lives. I believe in the power of compassionate care and informed choices, striving to create a safe and nurturing environment for my clients. My end goal is to become a certified nurse midwife and nurse practitioner, bringing holistic and woman-centered care to communities that lack representation, including the area where I grew up. As an avid homeschooler, I enjoy engaging with my daughters in their education while also finding joy in my hobbies such as sewing, crafts, hosting workshops for young girls, and assisting in the offices I hold in my church. My goal is to continue growing in my practice while providing exceptional care to those I serve.

I’m Savannah, a certified birth doula, lactation support, and advocate for empowering birth experiences. My journey into birth work began with my own pregnancies. One that left me feeling unheard, and another that healed me and changed my perspective. After experiencing how crucial support, education, and advocacy are, I knew I wanted to help other women feel confident, informed, and supported during their births. Your Birth, Your Voice
! I believe birth should be a respected and personal experience. Too often, mothers are told what to do instead of being given the information to make their own decisions. That’s why I’m committed to: * Educating mothers about their choices * Offering unbiased, evidence-based support * Helping families navigate birth and postpartum with confidence You deserve to be heard, and your birth should reflect your voice. Whether you’re planning a hospital, birth center, or home birth, I’m here to support and encourage you every step of the way.

Because of Savannah, I had the birth I wanted to have. She listened and remembered everything I said, going into detail in our conversations with me, making sure I knew that I could make my birth beautiful. Being so supported leading up to my birth was essential. This translated into my natural delivery by giving me the confidence to listen to my body. She is so incredibly gifted, I cannot imagine giving birth without her there.

I am a mother to 5 beautiful daughters, and a “Mimi” to the most precious grand baby I had the honor of “catching” at home. Born and raised in San Diego, CA and before moving to Dallas in 2019 I lived in Joshua Tree for 12 years. I moved to Waxahachie for a few years but knew my heart belonged back in Old East Dallas. When not at a birth I'm spending time with my family, sleeping in, teaching student midwives and researching everything birth with my midwife partner Elizabeth! Sundays are my favorite attending services at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, finding a new brunch spot with my family and strolling the Dallas farmers market! I love traveling anywhere with a tropical beach and taking cruises to the Caribbean. I am continuously humbled as midwife, every client teaches me something new. Midwifery care to me has always been about a trusting relationship and shared decision making. My clients trust my recommendations based off evidence and experience. I trust their decisions, even when different than mine. This is their body, their baby and their birthing experience. I love getting to know not just them but their family and even their parenting styles, it’s so much more than birth. As midwives we all love when Dad or even an older sibling wants to help catch but honestly my favorite is when my client catches her baby. Absolutely magical! I am often asked how many births I have attended. I stopped counting at 700!

Laurynn was great! She made my husband and I feel so much better about the birthing process in the weeks leading up to my labor. She was so knowledgeable and we learned so much from her. I opted for a hospital birth and really wanted someone there to advocate for me, and Laurynn did not let us down. At first my husband did not understand why I wanted a doula, but afterwards, he couldn't stop raving about how it was the best money we spent. It was great for him to have someone there supporting both him and I through the process, and it made it a lot less stressful for him. I credit Laurynn to my smooth labor and delivery, and was so grateful for her. She made me feel as comfortable as possible during my labor, and fought for us to try more natural interventions rather than opting for the hospital interventions, and her bag of tricks worked wonders. I'm so grateful for her, and would definitely recommend her to any expecting mothers! I can't wait to use her next time around for my home birth!

I truly cannot recommend Sunshine enough. This was my second pregnancy after 16 years and first home birth. Even though I had birthed before I felt like a first time mom all over again. Sunshine came to my home and I always felt comfortable sharing my fears and worries. She was always so gentle and kind. I birthed my baby in less than 4 hours and it was so amazing!!! I never thought I would call birth amazing or walk away feeling supported and proud of myself. So thankful for Sunshine her students for all of the 2 hour visits and helping me work through my fears to get my birth goals. 1000% recommend
