Hello birthing families. My name is Alicia and I have been doing birth work intermittently for about 4 years. I have attended over 10 births in the hospital and home environment. I most recently have been working with a home birth midwife in CA as a birth assistant. I do have doula training through BEST and will be repeating doula training in July. I am also beginning the process of becoming certified as a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist. I am also a mother of 8 with plenty of newborn care experience. When I was little, my younger sister and I would pretend like I was the doctor and she was getting ready to have a baby. My sister would go to check ups and I would give her an "ultrasound" and eventually she would birth the baby, a doll put under her shirt, and she would come back with her doll for a postpartum checkup.
