The Lactation Consultant on duty empowered me to breastfeed him and gave me tools so that I could bring him home sooner than expected. She inspired me to follow a career into lactation. Then after having breastfed my own children and developing a passion for helping others, I went on to become a IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). I also have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Wellness Management and Nursing. I have been an RN for the last 12 years.
