I cannot describe the emotionally charged helplessness you feel as you watch your wife, partner, go through this incredibly intense process, often with no idea of how, or even if you can assist. Julia knew exactly how I could assist, expressed it gently and direct. She helped us negotiate with the hospital staff respectfully. She was incredible at managing my wife’s moments of pain and fear.
