I was a nanny for few years while in school. I not have my Bachelors of Science in Nurisng. I since then had the privilege of working with women in prenatal, birth and postpartum care. I am the Founder and Postpartum Doula behind Healing Touch. Healing Touch was created to support women and their families as they make their journey into parenthood. As a mother myself, I know how having a child transforms who you are, and I am honored to be part of this life-changing process. My desire to become a postpartum doula began after I experienced the struggles that come along with having a newborn. Although the fourth trimester is a very exciting time, it can also be extremely challenging. There was so much I didn’t know, especially around my mental health and what to expect. With my firstborn, my labor and delivery was long and hard, which led me to having certain interventions I didn’t plan on. For the next few months, I had feelings of inadequency and really struggled emotionally. I did not have close family living nearby to help and though it was tough at times, this journey gave me a profound appetite to support others in their postpartum journey. I have a passion for celebrating the postpartum period and educating, empowering, and helping families. When I’m not working as a doula, you can find me at home spending time with my husband and two boys (5 and 7), cuddling up with a good book or boating on Lake Norman.

As a Black, queer, childless woman, I want to give others the encouragement to advocate for themselves and have the birthing and postpartum experience they dream of. My name is Rachel Campbell. I'm a 30-something wife and mama to two crazy kiddos and one dog. I have been immersed in the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum world since 2017 and had two amazing doula-attended births of my own. I decided to take the plunge into doula work in 2021. I completed my CAPPA training in November of 2021 and I'm working toward my official certification.
