Overnight postpartum support designed to help parents rest while their newborn is safely cared for. Night shifts typically range from 8–12 hours. Support includes newborn care, soothing, feeding support (bottle or breastfeeding support), diaper changes, and light baby-related tasks such as washing bottles. My goal is to create a calm, supportive environment so parents can recover and feel confident during the early weeks with their baby. I’m a postpartum doula and mom of four, specializing in postpartum support and overnight newborn care. I help families rest, recover, and feel supported during the early weeks after birth. I have been a newborn specialist/postpartum double for 20 years, and I've cared for twins from anywhere in the peninsula, from Sunnyvale to San Francisco. I cared for a couple of babies in Oakland, but I preferred to stay on this side of the bay. I usually go into the homes when mom come from from the hospital that night around 10 pm and take over the caring for the newborn until 6 am (of course this is in general but the times it's up to the family). I usually feed baby every 2.5 - 3 hours, change diapers, burped and soothe baby back to sleep. I could do the baby's laundry if the family needs me to, and wash, sterilized the the bottles or washed. I tidy up in the nursery if we used the nursery before I go home in the morning. I do help the mom by bringing the pump and set by the door to her room so she can pump at night.
