Originally from Cincinnati, OH Courtney relocated to Washington, D.C. in 2007 to attend Howard University. After Courtney’s son Lenox was born she felt called to support other families during the critical newborn period. She trained as a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist working with countless families as they welcomed new babies, navigated developmental milestones and sleep challenges, and worked to establish loving boundaries with their toddlers. Courtney is now an International Certified Newborn Care Specialist and Certified Pediatric Sleep Coach with over twelve years of experience. She has worked with hundreds of families and believes we should actively work against the trend of parent shaming and guilt by instilling confidence in parents.
