The cost of a night nanny in Hamden, CT can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Hamden, CT, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. Eunice is supporting us as a night doula for our newborn, and she has been incredible from the very beginning. In those first couple of weeks, she not only cared for our daughter but also helped us fine-tune feeding amounts, adjust timing, and better understand our baby’s cues. Her guidance made such a difference. Our nights are now much more restful, and our daughter (now two months old) is sleeping more consistently and becoming more independent. Eunice is dependable, communicative, attentive, and truly attuned to our baby’s needs. Our little one is always happy to see her and continues to sleep more regularly through the night. We truly would not have enjoyed this newborn stage as much without her. We’re so grateful for everything she’s done for our family.

Michelle was an excellent caregiver to our newborn daughter. Our baby smiled every night when Michelle walked through the door. While we are sad that our time with Michelle is over, she left us in the best place possible - with a baby sleeping 11-12 hrs by 8 weeks.

The first few weeks of bringing a newborn home are such a beautiful but incredibly vulnerable time, and having LeeAnn by our side was truly a gift. From day one she brought a sense of calm, warmth, and reassurance that made such a difference as we navigated those early days of parenthood. LeeAnn has such a lovely, easygoing personality and a gentle, nurturing presence. She is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced with newborns, but what makes her especially wonderful is the way she shares that knowledge…with kindness, patience, and without ever making you feel overwhelmed or judged. It can be scary trusting someone else with your baby, but with LeeAnn we always felt completely at ease knowing our baby was in her care. During a time when you're learning to trust your instincts and adjust to an entirely new chapter of life, having someone you genuinely trust means everything. As well as someone who is very reliable! We will always be grateful that LeeAnn was part of such a special time in our lives. If you have a newborn you NEED LeeAnn.

Hi, I’m Ryann, a certified birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and proud mom of four. I live on Long Island, where I’m raising my family and serving growing families in the community I love. My journey into motherhood has deeply shaped who I am and how I show up as a doula. I’ve experienced firsthand the joy, intensity, vulnerability, and transformation that birth and postpartum bring; and I carry that lived wisdom into every space I enter. Before stepping into this work full-time, I spent 13 years in corporate healthcare and hold a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. That experience gives me a strong foundation in organization, communication, and advocacy - skills I now bring into supporting families with clarity, confidence, and care. I’ve always had a passion for supporting women - for advocating when they don’t feel heard, for empowering them when they’re unsure, and for holding space when things feel overwhelming or unpredictable. My mission is to remind every mother that they are worthy of care, choice, and support — no matter how their journey unfolds. Whether you’re planning a home birth surrounded by loved ones, delivering in a hospital, choosing a cesarean, or navigating an unmedicated or medicated birth - I meet you where you are. There is no “right” way to bring a baby into the world, and I tailor my care to support your unique story, values, and vision. Through Four Roots Doula, I offer evidence-based education, emotional support, advocacy, and hands-on care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My role is to be a steady, calm presence - someone you can trust to show up fully, without judgment, with compassion and clarity. I am also CPR certified, adding an extra layer of preparedness and safety to the care I provide. Birth is beautiful. So is the strength that rises in you when you’re supported. I’d be honored to be part of your story.

I am a full-spectrum doula, offering support in reproductive health, birth and labor, and postpartum care in Connecticut and Rhode Island. I love doula work because I deeply value the one-to-one relationships I build with clients, walking alongside them during one of the most important and transformative experiences of their lives. My passion for supporting, educating, and empowering people giving birth comes from my commitment to addressing the maternal and infant health disparities that disproportionately affect Black women. My goal is to help all birthing people—especially Black women—feel confident, informed, and supported by: learning to trust their bodies, learning to trust themselves to make informed decisions and advocate for the birth experience they desire, and receiving culturally responsive, non-clinical emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth. It would be an honor to support you on your birth journey. I work collaboratively with you and your support team to create an experience where you feel confident, informed, and surrounded by care, love, and respect. Claire was an invaluable and irreplaceable part of our birth experience. Claire's experience and guidance helped us thoughtfully create a birth plan that met our goals, which included managing my own expectations. As these things go, my birth plan was merely the road map for a very different series of events, and every step of the way, Claire was incredibly supportive in both the physical and emotional elements of the birth of our daughter. Claire’s presence and advocacy was instrumental to my husband and I communicating effectively with the hospital team and her support following the birth was immeasurable, both in hospital and at home post-partum. Her contributions to our birth exceeded my expectations, especially under unexpected circumstances. Claire's practice of providing us with evidence-based information needed to make our own informed decisions was grounding and invaluable. We are so thankful for Claire's support throughout our first pregnancy and birth.

The Best Support We Could Have Asked For! We had the immense blessing of working with Priya for both labor/delivery and postpartum care, and I can confidently say she was one of the greatest gifts of our entire journey into parenthood. As first-time parents, the transition can feel overwhelming, but her presence brought comfort, confidence, and so much peace into our home. From the very first moment, she was gentle, knowledgeable, and incredibly nurturing. Her care is rooted in deep Ayurvedic wisdom, and she combines it beautifully with modern newborn support. She went above and beyond in every way. ✨ Labor & Delivery Support Having her with me during labor and delivery made all the difference. She was calm, encouraging, and present through every contraction and every moment of uncertainty. Her guidance helped me stay mentally strong and physically supported. I truly don’t know how I would have done it without her. ✨ Newborn Care She cared for our baby with so much love — from Ayurvedic oil massages, creating gentle daily routines, helping with gas/colic relief, and supporting healthy sleep patterns. Every single thing was done so thoughtfully and respectfully. ✨ Postpartum Recovery For Me She didn’t just help with the baby — she took care of me as a mother: - Ayurvedic belly binding for core support - Warm oil massages - Herbal teas and foods that supported healing and milk production - Emotional and mental support on days I needed it most She made sure I rested, nourished my body, and felt seen and cared for — something every new mother deserves. ✨ Food & Meals Her freshly prepared Ayurvedic meals were amazing. Everything was warm, nourishing, and made to help my body recover and build strength. You can tell she puts her heart into every part of her work. ✨ Family Support She guided my husband, helped us understand newborn cues, and even shared tips that made our whole home more peaceful and soothing for the baby. Her knowledge is priceless. If you are considering Ayurvedic newborn care or postpartum support, don’t think twice. She is truly gifted at what she does. She combines expertise, intuition, and compassion in a way that is rare to find. We felt protected, encouraged, and cared for every single day. We absolutely love her and are so grateful for everything she brought into our lives. She will always be a special part of our birth and postpartum story. ❤️

Recent review

We worked with Kiki from May to July 2022, and she was amazing. She provided full 24/7 newborn and postpartum support, helping with nighttime care, feedings, diapering, soothing, and creating a structured sleep routine. Her attention to detail and thoughtful guidance made us feel confident as new parents. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that Kiki is not available as a long-term nanny. While her postpartum and newborn care is exceptional, she does not provide ongoing daily childcare beyond the support period, which we initially hoped for. Overall, Kiki is professional, trustworthy, and nurturing — a true asset to any family navigating the first months with a newborn.
