I'm the founder of Pocket Doula and I support emerging birthworkers in radicalizing their practice through heart-centered mentorships, facilitations, and community organizing. My practice is housed under the decolonization of birthwork and transformative queer care. During the night, I respond to your baby’s needs, support feeding and burping, change diapers, soothe and settle baby back to sleep, and carefully document feeds, diaper changes and sleep stretches so you know exactly how the night went. My care extends beyond baby, too. I believe supporting a newborn means supporting the whole family. While your household sleeps, I work quietly and wash and prepare bottles, tidy baby-related items and help reset your space for the morning. I tidy and stock supplies in the nursery.
