The cost of a midwife in Hollywood, FL can be influenced by several factors:

  • Type of Midwife

Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) who work in hospital settings may have different pricing than Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) who attend home births or birth center deliveries.

  • Birth Setting

Hospital births with a midwife typically cost less out-of-pocket when covered by insurance, while home births and birth center deliveries may have different fee structures.

  • Scope of Services

Many midwives offer comprehensive packages that include prenatal visits, labor and delivery support, and postpartum care, which can affect the overall cost.

  • Insurance Coverage

Florida Medicaid covers certified nurse-midwife care before, during, and after birth because these services are required Medicaid benefits nationwide. Coverage for home or birth-center deliveries attended by licensed or certified professional midwives depends on the member’s plan. Around Hollywood, the market is modest, with five midwives listed within 60 miles. Private insurance benefits and network rules also vary by policy.

  • Experience and Specialization

Midwives with extensive experience, additional certifications, or specializations such as VBAC support or water birth may charge higher rates.

  • Geographic Location

Midwifery costs can vary based on the cost of living and demand for midwifery services in your specific area.

When considering hiring a midwife in Hollywood, FL, it's advisable to research and interview several midwives to find one who aligns with your birth plan, preferences, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services, insurance acceptance, and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs.

I believe birth is a sacred, God-given gift—a natural, physiological process that reflects the original design of women and babies: women are capable of giving birth, and babies know how to be born. My name is Monica Alejandra Latorre, and I am deeply passionate about women’s wellness, birth, and motherhood. As a traditional, faith-based birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, newborn care specialist, and fertility awareness educator, I bring over nine years of experience walking alongside women and families through life’s most tender transitions. My vocation is to mother the mother: supporting women as they reconnect with their innate feminine wisdom, dignity, and God-given strength. I believe birth is a holy rite of passage, and it is a profound honor to serve women and their families in these sacred spaces. With deep reverence, I offer my presence, guidance, and resources so that each mother feels supported, informed, and confident as she moves through her unique journey. It is a privilege to be invited into a mother’s birth story, to hold space with tenderness, and to walk alongside her through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My deepest hope is that every mother I serve finds her voice, trusts her intuition, and feels deeply connected to her body, her birth, and her baby.

Alejandra was amazing and such an essential part of me getting to know this beautiful extraordinary process that is bringing life to this earth through my body. Thank you so much for making me understand the beauty of birth. In a world full of fears and doubts. This is the most natural human process God designed us women to go through. Thanks again for being so attentive during the prenatal process and postnatal as well.

I cannot recommend Inara Arauz enough! From the moment she became part of our journey, she brought so much warmth, compassion, and reassurance during both my birth and postpartum experience. As my birth doula, Inara was incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and calming. She helped me feel informed, empowered, and cared for every step of the way. Her presence made such a meaningful difference during one of the most important moments of my life. As my postpartum doula, Inara continued to go above and beyond. She was so sweet, kind, and unbelievably patient with my baby girl. Watching the love and gentle care she showed my daughter gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to rest knowing she was in the very best hands. She also offered encouragement, guidance, and support when I needed it most as a new mom. I also want to give a special thank you to Laila, who cared for us as my postpartum doula on several nights. She was equally kind, compassionate, and attentive, and I always felt confident leaving my baby girl in her care. Her calm presence and genuine love for babies made those nights so much easier for our family. Both Inara and Laila have hearts of gold, and I am forever grateful for everything they did for our family. If you’re looking for a birth or postpartum doula who is experienced, caring, and truly passionate about what they do, I wholeheartedly recommend them. They made such a positive impact on our lives, and we will always cherish the support they gave us during this special time.

I can't explain how much having amber as my postpartum doula completely changed my postpartum experience (and my family's ). With my second child we decided to get a postpartum doula because after my first child I had a really difficult time. We now call her our angel. She anticipated what me and my family needed. Offering without imposing. Helping with anything we needed and more. Everyone in my family loves her and she became like part of our family. I can't recommend her enough. She's knowledgeable and kind. I trust her so much and I can't thank her enough.

Hi everyone! My name is Grey Graham, and I am a Certified Postpartum and Birth Doula, as well as a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor. Currently, I service South Florida (primarily), but I am open to traveling to North Florida, as well as any neighboring states. In my honest opinion, I think children are a precious gem, they are Gods gift to us here on Earth. They're just so sweet and actually quite fun to be around, I believe that they are the future and we can learn more from them then we think. I also love to see people happy and enjoying the life we've been blessed with. I decided to become a doula become after constantly stumbling across people with fears/ bad stories about giving birth and having children. I saw that people were afraid of having an actual baby, anxious that they'd be abandoned in the delivery room, and nervous about how to take care of them after. I've heard moms break down thinking they're not doing enough and failing their infant. That's where I come in. My ideal practice is to give judgment free help families adapt to bringing their baby home, understand any concerns they have, and hopefully aid them into becoming able to enjoy this milestone of their life.

Hi, I'm Genesis, a Latina, bilingual (English/Spanish), DONA-trained birth doula serving families throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County. I believe there is no one “right” way to give birth. Whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, epidural, induction, VBAC, or cesarean birth, you deserve evidence-based information, compassionate support, and a care team that respects your choices. Over the past year alone, I’ve supported 20 births across South Florida and have experience supporting many different birth journeys, including unmedicated and medicated births, inductions, cesarean births, and successful VBACs. This experience has taught me that every birth is different—and that good doula support isn’t about achieving a particular type of birth. It’s about helping you feel informed, supported, respected, and confident throughout yours. As your doula, I provide birth education, emotional and physical support, comfort measures, breathing and positioning techniques, partner support, and continuous labor support. I also help you understand your options and prepare your birth preferences so you can walk into your birth feeling informed and prepared. As a Latina mother myself, creating a space where families feel seen, heard, and understood is especially important to me. I love supporting partners and family members too, helping everyone feel confident in how they can support you throughout labor. My goal is simple: for you to look back on your birth knowing you were supported, respected, and never alone. I’d be honored to be part of your birth story.

We had such a great experience with her as our doula. She made the hospital room feel so much warmer and more relaxing with the lighting and music, and her support throughout labor was exactly what we needed. But definitely my favorite parts is that she also captured beautiful photos of such a special day without taking away from the moment. I’m so thankful to have those memories and would absolutely recommend her.

Being a doula is being in service to the Mother-and it would be my honor to be chosen and given the opportunity to cross paths during one of the most life changing altering experiences a woman can experience and that is YOU now- how amazing! congratulations! life is a Miracle and it is you ✨! <3 #letsd🌀ulathistogether ♾

Heidi was absolutely amazing! From our first meeting to the birth, she was incredible helpful and knowledgeable. She provided us with so many helpful tools to get us through the birth and supported us every step of the way. She never made us feel rushed and always gave special attention to our older daughter. She was so great with her which was so helpful! She never overstepped any boundaries and was always there when we needed her. I am beyond grateful that we had Heidi as part of our team for Lily's birth! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.
